My 1st shot at fem pollen.
I started spraying silver on May 19th & switched the donor to 12s on the 23rd. On June 16th a few sacs burst. On the 19th a bunch more opened so I cut 2 heads off, rubbed them on all the ladies flowers & knocked all the sacs off into a bowl. This was 1 day before 4wks of spray. I never did get a big pile of sacs like the tutorials show & today is one day past 5wks yet they now look like the pics say they should look at 3 wks.....
When do I take the rest of the sacs & are the ones that have been drying for a week any good? Do I count the ladies as pollinated since sacs have been cracking for over a week?

Nice work. Feminizing is painstaking and involved care but the payoff can be so rewarding. At $10 a pop those seeds are gold.and money in the bank. Freeze that pollen and it will stay viable for a long time. I've used pollen over a year old with no ill effects.

Thanks, that's the plan. So by my timeline & pics when would you harvest the pollen?

I isolate my plants that are developing pods to a sunny absolutely windless spot. From a roll of foil I cut a round sheet roughly 4-5 inches wider than circumference of the branches. In the center of the foil I make a hole about the size of the main stem and then make a slice from that center to the outer edge. Using that slit I slide the disc over the top of the pot until the main stem is in the center. Gently bring the 2 edges together and start to overlap them until you have created a slight cone shaped bowl out of the disc. I tape the edges together and I have a pollen collection bowl. The pods will open and the pollen and pods will just drop into it of their own accord and in due time you will have all the pollen you need. When you're ready just make a new slice and carefully remove the disc and let it all slide into a small container that you can seal airtight.

    That's slick! Thanks 🚜
So my girls are 2wks since starting to show & really blooming nicely. Would you assume that they've been pollinated by now & remove the donor & start counting weeks til seeds are mature? Or do they need another dusting?

Be aware also that you don't have to pollinate the entire plant. I will often choose a plant that looks like it has good genetics and only pollinate one or two branches. This will still yield dozens of seeds without sacrificing the quality of my seedless buds. Label those seeds and if the smoke from the other buds is good you have the start of guaranteed girls for the next grow. There are lots of videos out there for tips and methods on selective branch pollination.

Right & I'll do that once I get where I wanna be. For now I'm fine with pollinating the whole tent. In fact I want a shit load of seeds from each Mango. If I can get about 200 from each I will run them in stages & keep the clone of the best producer from each batch & use the 5 or 6 best to breed the next generation.
Far as the smoke goes- I've smoked killer bud with seeds in it & I don't buy into the idea that seeds ruin a bud. Well..... the surprise pop & taste of that hit sucks lol.

I'm an older guy and clearly remember the days of hating getting too many seeds in my oz. bag. Now, when you find even one you feel like you've hit the lottery. Do your thing and I will never ever fault you for growing too many seeds. I only mentioned it because a lot of growers I have talked with were unaware that you can do a single branch. Like I said earlier, they are money in the bank. Far more valuable than bud to yourself and the right people.
