hey friends. Is anyone using a lux meter and can it be used with LED's? I was reading up on them and saw that you can't use them with LED's. NebulaHaze did a video with hers and I really want one lol but not if it only works for any lights except leds.

You need a full spectrum PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) meter for LEDs, which can't be measured in lux. https://www.apogeeinstruments.com/mq-500-full-spectrum-quantum-meter/
I believe Nebula has this $538 model....Anyone can grow schwag. If you want to grow top shelf bud, study hard: https://www.growweedeasy.com

Check out this video.
You can use a lux meter with the newer white LEDs to get a close approximation of PAR. It’s not exact but it’ll get you close enough to set your lights at the right height. The spectrum of the white LEDs makes a difference so you’ll need to know what your particular fixture uses.
This won’t work with the older LED diodes, particularly the red and blue heavy blurple fixtures.Failure is an opportunity for improvement!!
