Hello everyone so this is my first time growing hydroponically. Now I started this almost three weeks ago, there are no nutrients in the water, I have some coloring on my leaves and not too sure what causing the problem because some leaves are fine. I'm worried that it may be my water because it is well water and is quite hard. I just watch the ph right now. The ph ranges between 5.5 and 6.3. I also have this long single root in the water. When should I add the nutrients I don't want to do it too early and lose the plant. I've posted some pictures below to show you guys. All kinds of advice is welcomed thanks .

Looks like a rough start. Just my opinion but I would flush and wait or just start over. I’m doing hydro for the first time myself and actually is used nutrients from 🌱 .
Maybe try adding some nutrients but wait a bit and others should give more advice. My babies are 1 week old but have major root growth and very long and fuzzy. 2-3” inches already.
I doing storage container hydro with multiple sprayers.
6 holes 24 sprayers. I learned on YouTube LoL

KayH I disagree about tossing the plant: the root is a very good sign. Start with a low dose of nutes, and in a couple of weeks, she'll be big and you can just remove the damaged leaves.
I don't know why some growers are so quick to toss a seedling that has a little bit of struggle: clearly she's not a runt.Anyone can grow schwag. If you want to grow top shelf bud, study hard: https://www.growweedeasy.com

Stress and deficiencies can stunt a plants growth and we all want to maximize our yields. Also a stunted or sickly plant in the early stages of life is bad, it’s important to build a strong rooting system to help the plant fight off illnesses and pest. Other wise it’s prone to attacks and getting sick and being small. I think thats why most people suggest starting over. Of course if your seeds are in short supply starting over isn’t an option.
