Can I veg for too long?

Hi all, Just a simple question, can I veg my super cheese for too long? I was waiting for the summer solstice on 21st June to switch to flower, that is another month. She is already 4 months into veg. Is that OK?

There is no rule or physics that’s say you can’t
think you have a huge plant, really want to see pictures of this plant .
If you have room/space and privacy for it, then why not
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol

If you have the room for it, you can veg as long as you want to. However, keep in mind that your plant is going to at least double in height when you switch to flower. You have to take into consideration the highest your light can go, and how far away your light needs to be from your canopy. What's left under that and above the top of your pot is how much grow space you have. Once your plant gets halfway to the max height, flower or you'll run out of room faster than you think possible. Hope that helps

@dphipps 1020 I disagree with that ,I have veged plants for long periods before and I would have runs with no bud stretch in bloom in fact Ive complained about it on the forum ,I have no scientific support for it just experience .so take it with a grain of salt lol

Thank you everyone! I grow on a sunny private balcony and do a little bit of LST to keep them low. I probably stunt their growth a bit too, with small pots, but keep them small as I bring then indoors at night and in bad weather. I will try and get a pic today. Cheers and stay safe!

oldjarhead100 honestly I can't say that it made a difference in height of flowering. I may of needed to super crop but nothing out of control. I just LST and keep adjusting the side branches trying to keep low. I'm going to run 2 indoor photos this summer after my indoor autos are done. I will veg. these for at least 2 months under a LED veg light. One will be a bag seed I found in dispensary bud ( hopefully it's female ) and the other is a gifted cross of WW & sour tangie fem. I will really pay close attention to the flower stretch if it's less. Maybe it's strain related?

I've only had 2 bagseed from the dispensary so far that ended up being male and I've planted quite a few. More than likely it will be female but there's still a slight chance it won't. I think you may be right on the strain idea too. Every plant I've come across so far has doubled in height so I don't know.
