    grow room/lighting, 12/12

Hi all, trying to educate myself on light, when I'm running lights on 12/12 and have another segment of grow room under 24, will indirect artificial light affect my buds, ( blue tint through divider ) trying to avoid learning the hard way!! Thanks for any insight.

I have read green light won't affect your plants during flowering. Also a stationary light, the plant could get use to and ignore it. And that red lights tend to be the color that causes most problems. I personally have mine in complete darkness. I don't want to take any chances lol.

Any light getting to your flowering plants when they're supposed to be in darkness is bad. Plants have a wake/sleep cycle and it can take 2 hours for them to decide it's sleep time. Interruptions are no good. Even a pinhole of light can mess a plant up.

Avoid all light leaks into your grow area. I had, what I thought to be minor, light leaks during my last grow and wound up with some 'nanners' in some of my buds. This grow, I installed a 'blackout' curtain to block out that leak at the door to the room. So far (middle of 5th week bloom) I have not seen any problems, yet.
I have not seen any information on how or if a full moon affects the plants cycle, or if lighting flashes would affect them.
I will know in about five or six weeks if the light curtain made any difference.
        Smoke weed,.....grow peace!

You can get away with light leaks in the veg room no problem. Flowering rooms must be sealed and completely dark at night.

Theirs alot of info on this, veg stage is ok for light leaks. But if you flower you need pure dark. Dark allow for the cannabinoids to break down in the buds.
