Transplant from Soil to DWH for Flushing..???

I have been thinking of the DWH (deep water hydro) method to flush my currently soil growing girls when the time comes to Flush. I have experimented last fall with this method with a pepper plant late last summer and the plant had stayed alive for a couple weeks with just plain water. So for flushing purposes, has anyone ever tried this
soil to Hydro method? Or would anyone have an opinion on this?

Hopefully someone else will come along and answer, but I have never heard of anyone (on this site) switching from soil to hydro to do a flush. Simple stop nutrients and water with plain pH corrected water for a week or so prior to harvest.

Next time you harvest try to separate a root ball from its substrate.

Disturbing the roots on a flowering plant does not sound like a good plan.

Thanks for the opinions and comments. I will be doing this as a controlled experiment with one of the 2 "Light of Jah" girls to see if there is any positive or negative outcomes.
The process will consist of removing the plant and substrate from 2gal soil container 2-3 days before expected harvest, and placing gently into 5gal bucket of Distilled H20. Letting the soil and roots separate, to hopefully have bare roots to then submerge in another fresh 5 gal H20 with air stone at the bottom. For a period of 2-3 days, changing the H20 every 24hrs.
I will post any findings, differences and results.

The test has proved to be an overall more effective way to flush the root system before harvest.
3 separate grows and 3 controlled tests performed. The results as a whole showed a 50% cleaner taste than with just flushing soil alone @ equal parts water to soil voulme compared to 5 gal water and air stone.
