    Short Bushy Growth after LST

After LST one of my Sour Tangie clones I noticed a massive increase in lower growth making the plant bushier and it wasn’t getting any taller. The plant is in ideal conditions and another plant in the same environment is thriving however this one doesn’t seem to want to grow taller. Any suggestions on how to move forward or tips on what I did wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Cheers.

(Photo taken roughly 3 weeks after LST attempt, I have removed the wire that I used for training)

Forgot to mention I have already raised the light to manufacturer specs of 37”. This is a picture of the other plant in the same environment.

Looks good to me, nice and healthy. Kind of interesting growth though, the leaf in picture 2. You will be getting rid of quite a bit of that when you lollipop your plants, if you choose to do so. My opinion is you can actually clear a lot of that out. Start with the big fan leaves covering everything, and get rid of the lower growth that isn't getting light. This is where the shape of your plant comes into play. Whatever growth you clear will allow light in so the rest of the plant can thrive. NebulaHaze has a pretty good manifold tutorial where she gets rid of everything below where she tied the branches down. It looks really bare but it helps a lot and fills back in within a couple weeks. I manifold mine the same way, kind of. Different technique but I clear everything off the same way. It basically gives a new starting point and is a little easier to maintain afterwards. Attached pictures are of the same girl, first one 4/20 and the second from today. Just to kind of give you an idea how quickly they bounce back. Here are 2 links that hopefully help

Controversial defoliation can increase your yields dramatically indoors... but removing leaves is for advanced growers only! When done wrong, defoliation can kill your plants!

      Happy growing!

Check your light color it plays a big deal in setting the correct shape later even more so should you intend to snip

ensure some 2700Kelvin red(maybe warm white?) sets of those stretchy hormones that eventually lead to bud

        good luck
