Curious as the bud from my first grow cures, how long of a curing time do you find your buds taste to be best? I've read minimum of 2 weeks but I can assume that the difference in taste between curing for 2 weeks and 4 weeks is probably going to be substantial. So what do you see best for your bud? 4, 8, 13, 26 weeks?

Hello NickyChicks well if you are " hard up " like us LOL you smoke it after about a week LOL. But if you got some cured bud and ain't in no hurry I smoke really good homegrown that was cured in jar and burped daily for a month. But.........I prefer to allow it to age at least 8wks. Have you ever seen the harvest dates on dispensary labels? Some of it I've had to purchase more than 8months old.Smoke Ganja create Peace Respect Nature don't trash the Planet

I'm in no rush lol, just looking to get the best out of it. I'm using Grove bags to cure rather than jars and boveda packs, I'm putting all my trust the bags. They claim to require no burping and so far I haven't burped any of the bags I ziplocked and heat sealed. I do have a bag from each strain that I didn't heat seal, that I check the buds on every few days. I checked some buds today from the heat sealed bags that had been curing for 3.5weeks and some that have been curing for 2.5 weeks. They don't smell moldy which is great but they do still have a green/hay smell to them, I'm hoping with time that will go away.

Well for my preference...well when I cut samples, and this kind of defys the purpose..I dry for a week and cure for a week then sample. But when I'm doing whole plants I let them dry properly then they go into jars for a minimum or 2 months, sample here and there for taiste. I notice the difference between flavor after 2 weeks and a month but after 2 months I don't notice the difference going on further. But I notice the potency goes up from the first weeks to 2 months.Vegging 4 aurora indica, waiting on seeds. Got eyes on a 4x8x8 tent.
