    Not all hydroponic roots are white as the driven snow.

    I am posting some pictures of my roots so people don't think that any stain on roots is a sign of root rot. For some reason, roots in my reservoir stain at a certain stage, and then they go back to beige. The reservoir smells perfect and the plants are growing like gangbusters.

    This was how my root rot looked 3.5 years ago, and it smelled baaaaaad:

    Wow, alltatup! I just got around to emptying my coco air pots today and took a photo of root ball! Not hydro but I gave a silent thanks to Tika for convincing me to switch from soil to coco! šŸ˜
    DIY grow space 2.5' X 3.5' X 6.5'
    315 LEC
    6" Vortex exhaust fan w/speed control
    6" Carbon filter
    3- 6" fans
    humidifier
    temp and humidity gauge
    5 gal smart pots w/ FFOF soil
    FF trio nutrients

      Hi folks...I like that @PuravidaC..... and Iā€™m still doin the same thing.. donā€™t have the ā€œintestinal fortitudeā€ like you folk to go full hydro.

    I'd be reading up Humics, often its them in your nute that does the discoloring IMO

    Early days I did this like the x-files weighing and measuring the root ball gives many insights

    more so if you ever change your nutes even lights

    also cutting downwards looking for knots or obvious compaction points that may impeed growth
