SOIL No progress since day 6

    Hello growers...
it’s my first time trying to grow cannabis and i am happy doing that . So I germinated just tow seeds for 24 hours and things were good...
now i have tow seedlings and i need to know if things are going ok or not
they are 8 days old and i notice that there is no progress after day 6 ...
i don’t care how big they will be so i just put them on these things lol ...
    Do they look fine ?
Do i need more light for this phase?

Well I’m using fox farm ocean forest and it revived my plants amazingly I think it has good enough perlite just order some new soil which ever your preference but if you want to just water and not use nutrients for about a month or more you can go half and half fox farm ocean forest and happy frog. My first grow was with 4/100w cfls I had a male and bad soil I didn’t know that my soil was the problem if i knew it would have flourished under the cfls you can take the grow far with what you have but you’ll have to get more light later on keep the lights close just not to close we’re you can put your hand up straight above the plant and you can get cardboard attach the foil or whatever your using to create a box for light not to be wasted all can be reflected back on the plant. Other than that try and purchase the soil as fast as you can, you can order it from amazon, if you have to choose between either due to budget get ocean forest , happy frog is more for seedlings

BangoMAN I would say they're still small enough to dig out of there and repot into smaller pots in a mix of soil/perlite or coco/perlite, you need about 70%/30% mix. they can drown if they can't get oxygen, that's what the perlite helps with, the smaller pots would also help with this and help prevent overwatering. if you can't get perlite use sand to loosen up that soil. sorry, I don't use CFL's but I'm guessing you're probably okay for a few days at least. good luck!

        Definitely need some better drainage.
Make sure those containers have drain holes in the bottom.
Any good potting soil will work better than what you're using.
I would try to stay away from soils that are pre-charged with nutrients(miracle grow comes to mind) because it makes it difficult to properly feed the plants.
        WHAT???
        5x5 grow space
        900w of Vero's and F-strips
        4-17gal totes self-made UC system.

Like the other’s said: new soil. I’m a soil grower - always will be. And I have big success with totally normal “tomato” soil bought from a normal garden store. The soil have the exact PH that cannabis plants wants to grow in. Hope it helps
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol
