    sharing dwc tub

Hello fellow growers, im prepping for my 5th grow using dwc, my question is whether or not it's advisable to have a couple of different strains sharing the same reservoir, about 15 gal tub.

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

I wouldnt because one plant can choke out another and its a mess of root balls in there all tangled. I use to do 2 per 10 gal tote but not anymore. It also makes ph and ppms go out of balance quick and when it causes you to have to do nute change in half the time.

Some plants prefer more/less nutes than others. One might thrive and the other might not depending on how compatible they are with nutrient uptake.

I'm doing that. My signature explains it pretty well. I've got three strains in each tub, all growing well. I never could pull off having any more than one good plant per tote until I bought a decent light. Under the old T5, the one per tote rule enforced itself. Still, I'm ditching this system for a RDWC I'm building which will keep each one in its own bucket with much more elbow room.

ptsVet I regularly grow 3 or 4 different strains all in the same reservoir and I don't have any problems. Most hybrids seem to get along fine on the same nutrients, and the roots don't cause any issues. I have two BCNL RoomMate grow boxes, and they're built for 4 plants.

I would say it’s doable... but wouldn’t recommend it
mainly because I don’t like growing more then 1 plant per reservoir
when it’s just the one plant problems are more simple.. you don’t get tangled roots, water is easier to keep good air flow, if a plant gets root rot it’s easier to combat and it’s limited to the one plant, generally more space per plant, but I’d also say that different strains like different amounts of nutes too.. but give them proper air and water flow nutes could be balanced out between the bunch.. idk I’d say it’s risky for no benefit..
you have to way the pros and cons of it.. and if you can’t find a better and more practical alternative then go for it but why crawl when you can walk
