HYDRO Symmetry in a Manifold or quadlining

    Hi everybody,
So I was thinking from what I read on nebulas manifolding should always be symmetrical
so my question is can we take clones or cut branches on secondary nods,
or can we take branches of nod 1 in one main branche and nod 2 on the other main

Sorry my english dk if it is clear

    cheers

NebulaHaze It really depends on what form of manifold your following. If your following the NebulaHaze tutorial you can utilize the 2nd node after the first topping. In Nebula’s tutorial you would top the plant once and then the leave the 1st and 3rd node off of each side. This would give you 4 viable cuttings if you let them develop. It will set back the timing of your manifold while you let them develop and could delay the transfer of apical dominance. If you are willing to wait a few more weeks the secondary branches that come off the 1st and 3rd nodes will provide potential clone candidates without altering the plants natural development.
Failure is an opportunity for improvement!!

so there is interference in the water/nutes flux, cause I was thinking in the matter of managing the center of a quadline, take (secondary node 1) at 2mains, and (nod2 to) the other 2 mains.

The plant distributes oxins that determine apical dominance based on the presence of available nodes. If you top at the 4th node leaving nodes 1,2, and 3; the plant will distribute those oxins to all 3 nodes.

In the case of a modified manifold like Nebula describes in her tutorial, leaving the second node after topping longer than necessary will continue the distribution of those oxins to the 2nd node rather than giving them to the 1st and 3rd nodes where you want faster and more aggressive growth. Cloning can be done anytime after the plant has reached sexual maturity so focusing on plant growth in the early stages of life is preferred. You can clone any branch at any time through the first few weeks of flower without any major setbacks.

nice info Obi-Wan, btw im loving your journals and training

That's what I did last time- took 3 clones from each. But they can really get wide as you pull the faster growing stalks down level following the manifold. I'm trying quadlines now.

      Hey JDU
yep i will go with quadline to, but taking clones or just differnt secondary nodes on different mains will interfere in the whater/nutes travell arround the plant?

Wont affect the nutes or anything but like Obi-Wan said if you let em grow too long without topping they might stay "programed" to grow 1 or 2 main colas instead of sharing the energy among the 8.

well it will be my first so I guess I will try the 2 situations for the fun of experiment.

I always try for symmetry with doubles and then best I can with quads or triples.
Vegging 4 aurora indica, waiting on seeds. Got eyes on a 4x8x8 tent.

    4 plants currently under 500w
    2 x opulent systems 4x4x80 tents and a 24x40x48 baby box.

    Happy growing/consuming 🥴
