Hi all,
Second grow here, outdoors, 5 weeks into flower or so, my first photo.. I'm using a super soil recipe in a fabric pot from a local grower which worked fine for my first grow which was an auto, but now my big plant (about 4.5 months old in the super soil mix) is displaying a few problems.
1) I have some yellowing leaves around the plant, which seem to be in random places, not older leaves only at the bottom or anything - eventually these leaves are very weak and can be pulled off easily. The rest of the growth seems quite dark and nitrogen rich, with even a few older, bigger leaves clawing, so I'm unsure if it would be a nitrogen deficiency like I've read about yellowing leaves. Some of the yellowing leaves have burnt tips. Some go yellow all over and some seem to yellow in the margins and progress to the whole leaf.
2) The tips of the flowers especially (& other fan leaves) are burnt quite bad, this seemed to happen after top dressing the soil with sulfate of potash a couple of weeks ago however I can't be certain, it might have been there prior.
When posting elsewhere I was told the plant needs more nutrients to assist with flowering so I bought canna flores & have given a single dose of that so far. The growth seems to be a bit darker but there still appears to be some leaves yellowing. I also have some worm castings I could top dress with or make a tea from but I haven't yet as I'm unsure where the problem lies and don't want to further burn etc.
Could this be a PH issue? I was told with my super soil, water PH doesn't mattered so I haven't worried about it. I didn't with my last auto grow and they were healthy.
I'm a bit stuck in guessing what it might be as there's quite a few things going on now, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
