Last trim and tie for the day. I'll get back to you when I try and put em in the 4x4. This one's lanky and stretchy. Out of these 8 plants I know I have atleast 5 different strains to work with.

Untied everyone switched the lights to 12 12, at a good height that if the double I'll still have some room. Sativa dominant are getting taller around the edges and a little indica tucked in the middle. Everyone's branch layout and the top. Time to see what they can do, tie them back down in a couple of days. Up and down every few days, nice strong branches, stock's the size of a bick lighter. See from today switching the lights to when they start to show. To when their finished.

Why do you tie and untie them?

Makes the branches stronger, hold more weight, more buds without a drooping. Stretch em down as far as I can, untie a couple days later let em go back up, tie em back down as far as I can and repeat. I've done it on 4 plants last grow and left 4 tied through out aside from adjusting tall branches. The ones that were worked back and forth ended up with bigger buds and they weren't flopping all over compared to the ones that were tied down and untouched. I used to grow in a 400 sq ft room, 6 foot tall plants and the ones I put the work into tying and untying didn't have to be tied up to hold the heavy buds like the ones I didn't put the work into...and plus I have nothing but time and they way I see it the more you put in the more you get out of it. I had a bad accident and can't work can't walk a block, putting the work into it takes my mind off other things as well. Without weed I probably wouldn't be here right now, went from 2 oxy 80s and a hand full of percs to smoking and eating weed and no pills but ibuprofen. So that was a long explanation of a short question. But again I have nothing but time

Well there are plenty of people who know what you mean.. I myself was in the military and can honestly say it’s a labor of passion.. my garden and family are my loves but not in that order lol

If you want to know how to ruin your life in 30 seconds take a mountain bike and miss a bridge at full speed and land in 1foot plus mine rock. I had to put 3 fingers into a hole in my side to keep the air from coming out. Anyways sorry for the partial nudity. My hip was crushed into pieces and my life will never be the same. Remember your life can be flipped upside down in the span of a few seconds...smoke weed, keep my mind in a good place, smoke more weed, eat some cookies, smoke more weed, sleep and repeat. It's the life some dream of but it's a curse in my case, I miss biking, four wheeling skidooing hunting. Everything my life was.. stay positive and appreciate what you have people.

Thanks for sharing - sounds like you have a positive attitude - keep it up and thanks for sharing your grow pics as well.

Very insightful write up you just gave about tying down branches - makes a lot of sense - even giving the results of your experiment in the same paragraph.

I grow autoflowers only and rarely have a sativa get over 4 feet - which is now - Jordann you ever grown autoflowers?

I've grown some autos in the past but always had trouble one way or another, flowering too early, not even being autos. But that was years ago and I've been giving it some thought might get into it, atleast one here and there in the mix. Sounds like I can trust some seed banks more now. Just had a few people I get my seeds from and a couple that would order them for me before it was legal. But I've been growing my own seeds for the past few years mostly. Got a couple different bags of old pollen, shove one branch in there shake it around usually get seeds in the one bud but not the whole plant. Thinking I'll order some autos next time I get to buying some seeds, keep everyone posted when I do

Baby update.
2 rows on the left are getting water pHed to 5.5
3 rows on the right getting flora micro and veg half strength with calmag half to 3/4 strength pHed down to 5.5 to 6.
Still not sure of the sex. Lights will be flipped to 12s for a week, the first week of April. Then the males will be removed, one will be keeps separate for pollen for future use.
After that the remaining balance will go into bigger pots, maybe 1 gallon for the time being, still have to seperate what will stay in and what will go outside this spring.

Just some pictures now that I'm back after a couple days. 3 plants in the back end of the tent got wind burned because I wasn't here to move them around daily but nothing serious at all so far. 5 days from switching to 12s.
