Dark period before harvest.

This will be my first significant indoor harvest and I have read many contradicting things about a 48-72 hour dark period before harvest. If you do this or dont, I would love to hear about it. If you do this how long do you think is appropriate and how much ripening do you see, say I have a little amber, will this increase during the dark time?

I've tried it with legit Blue Dream clones I've grown several times with no discernable difference in yield/quality. YMMV.

It doesn't hurt, but it doesn't improve anything either.
I may do it for up to 4 days, If I need the tent space for other plants.
Other than that, I wouldn't bother-
Harvest when ready after the usual dark period.
