    Are we there (harvest) yet?!

Just another “is it ready” post? This plant has me a bit confused as there is getting to be a good amount of amber, but still a lot of white pistils.

This is a northern lights auto. Germinated September 15 and is on 11th wk of flowering.
There are 3 things you must check everyday when growing in hydro:
    1) Water level (How much h2o is she drinking in 24hrs)
    2) pH level (change over 24hrs)
    3) ppm/EC level (How much food is she eating in 24hrs)

I'm seeing a lot of white hairs, yet. Trichomes are looking good. I like a bit more amber. Otherwise, super fantastic cola!
    C'mon, mule!

Thanks for the replies. Is it normal for plants to continue with sprouting white hairs? Or does it eventually stop happening?

hey YY I think i read in the Best Time To Harvest section that buds can punch out new pistils at least three times...Nebulas said you just have to make the decision of when you want to chop um down. Im kinda in the same boat..i have more amber showing daily, but the buds are swelling up and showing off some beautiful colors...just cant bring myself to cut them yet..

I thought you needed all the white hairs to curl in and turn brown but your trichomes like nice and ready. This is where I would also be agonizing about when to harvest. Looks great!

What I learned here is that about 80% of the hairs should be brown and shrinking. I don’t want the amber to get too abundant...maybe a 15% range with 20% being the limit.

Gonna come down to personal preference, we all at some point have to make the decision to harvest. It can be agonizing but once they get this mature. I don’t think it will make large spurts of potency anymore so aren’t we really just splitting hairs, pun 8ntended lol.

Trichomes start to do Amber your days away. Patiently watch till most of the trichomes are amber. It's perfection. Best looking Northern lights auto ever!

I can hardly wait to harvest her. I’ll keep checking her trichomes daily.

Here’s some pics of her from last week that I posted. She’s thick.

homegrown I forgot to mention that this is just the first browning of the hairs. Just caught off-guard with how much amber in the trichs vs how little brown in pistils.

That is a great example of a auto to perfection in my limited experience with them. YYCannabis you need a huge applause for that one. Shoot my photo won't produce as much as that auto. Well done !

She’s getting closer but she’s stressing me out. I have another thread going regarding pH crashing, and shes doing it again...3rd time in 7-8 days.

Anyways here she is...Fat bottom girls, you make the rock in world go round.

I’m going to call her done soon. Probably go to flush Tuesday so I can harvest on the weekend.

Ya it's def a preference at this point. If it were mine I'd take her down when the timing was right.
