    Autopot root system

Decided to see how the 15L autopot system did for root development. The pot has a base pad to stop the roots from growing into the mini reservoir with the float valve that worked perfectly and also had the air dome with an air stone set to run when the lights were on only.
It appears everything worked well. Roots look full and look healthy.
The system passes its 1st use and I am satisfied it will take the pressure off having to be there everyday.

Now to figure out my use of nutrients better for the next grow. Starting when my next auto seeds arrive and they are in transit.
Probably growing a double grape and a creme de la chem.

Looks like it worked very well. I can't wait to see the Creme de la Chem grow.

The creme de la chem and dbl grape can be too strong to handle if unaware I have read. Not sure if that's what is best for us but since when did fear and common sense slow me down very often...lol.

Is this a recirculating system for nutrient feed?

Uses a reservoir with gravity feed to individual pots on a float valve system. So yes to a nutrient feed. Seems easy to have a nutrient build up if not careful.

I’ve found that these types of systems require lower EC. I run my recirculating hydro system at .8-1.4 for veg and 1.4-1.8 max for flower depending on the strain. I have 4 plants in Veg at .8 EC and they are thriving. Something about the constant availability of nutrients that makes volume unnecessary.

I started out at 800 ppm to 1000 ppm for veg or .8 to 1.0 EC on my meter. Using Remo Nutrients at less then 1/2 strength with those numbers and RO water.
So thanks for the confirmation on keeping things low. I will be running at .3 to .5 to start the next grow.

Hi johnEmad...thanks for the post. I had not previously seen or heard about Autopot. Due to travel/work schedules I have a need for an autowatering system. I recently spent a boatload of $$ designing/building a reservoir, timer, drip system that only worked so-so. The autopot looks like exactly what will fit my needs, so I bought the 4-pot smart system with air domes. Its a little spendy but I hope will work out.

I left my plants for 10 days when they were 3 weeks old and came back to large plants doing very well. The res was empty but the coco was still damp so perfect timing.
Yes a bit pricey but worked well so far.

I was gleaning over local classifieds this a.m. and saw this system for sale with photos. Guy wants to barter for theses pots and he's got lots of used LEDs some 450vipras and marshydros I don't need or want a new pot system but he's in so. Oregon. Is this considered advertising I don't want to break the rules?
