    Flushing changes

During a flush before harvest...should there be a change in leaves, or something, that signifies the plant is flushing correctly/completely?

    Cheers

There are 3 things you must check everyday when growing in hydro:
    1) Water level (How much h2o is she drinking in 24hrs)
    2) pH level (change over 24hrs)
    3) ppm/EC level (How much food is she eating in 24hrs)

Well you should see what looks like deficiencies. Probably yellowing first. Maybe some brown spots if in coco (calcium def). It takes a few days if you have been feeding heavy.

Sorry in hydro or coco it takes a few days to a week to notice changes sometimes. Soil takes longer i think...

If you are talking about flushing, like removing nitrogen from the diet...yes leaves will begin to pale. Even turning yellow. This is expected at the end of harvest.

I’m DWC so only flushing for 3 days.
What if I don’t see any signs of deficiencies? Flush for a few more days?

I know that last week there was a posting about whether flushing was even necessary.

If you dont see any yellowing yet i would keep going, though i dont think it's critical. Here is what i do. If i dont see changes in the leaves i keep flushing, I dont know if it is necessary, but i will give it a fresh res change after 3 days but i only have a 2 gallon bucket so it only has a gallon at a time in it. Typically, by day 5 i see changes in the leaves. You can either harvest then or wait a couple more days for the leaves to really turn but you may want to harvest before the sugar leaves start getting yellow. It wouldnt really hurt too much if you harvested now tho. IMO it helps the harshness cure out faster but given a long enough cure the bud will taste the same.
