What should i use under my cloth pot and in-between my catch tray?

I use 3 and 5 gallon cloth pot's Soil Grower..Growing Auto's.. I just had some OVER watering. The water built up in between the bottom of my cloth pots and my green heavy duty catch trays. I may have skimped a bit on the perlite this grow and the water ran off the side quicker than normal. Then the standing water built up and caused a small lock-out and stunted the plants. I put small dowel rods across the green catch trays now the plants have a 2 .5 inch air gap. what do you use to keep this from happening. I am Getting old and I don't wanna pull the plants out every 3-5 days---,water--- then return to the trays. hydro rocks? plant stands? 1.5 inch pvc pieces? small dowel rods on top or the trays?

I use grates from a discarded bbq - side burner on a bbq has a nice riser that one uses to put cook pots on, picks right up.

I dont use catch trays. I move my plants to the bathtub and water in the bathtub. Then i let them drain for 5 min then put back in the tent. If you dont have a setup where you can move the plants around freely then my method wont work obviously. If you cant move the plants, why dont you dump the trey when it gets full? I would never leave my pots sitting in water..well unless im bottom watering my non-cannabis plants.

That's what I did my last 4 grows but I can not do it atm. I Broke my left hand my left pinky and right big toe. I had a night terror and was fighting while sleep walking in my shower. I had a violent past sometimes I sleep fight...really scare's everyone when I do it in the middle of the night.

damn dude. Well that sucks! Sorry to hear that. That would make moving things difficult. Have you looked into a water transfer pump? you could use it to siphon runoff out of the trays. Found this link on the website https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...5932adf6b1b645

^^ these are the hi-tech options.
I just use a single layer of pebbles/hydroton in the tray. That keeps the bottom of the bag out of the solution.

          900w of Vero's and F-strips

Any big box store has a vast array of wire closet shelving, you can find whatever size you need, or customize with a hacksaw.
