      I agree. Leave it like it is. Defoliation is something that takes practice so in the beginning you may want to be conservative on your leaf removal. Keep in mind that these fan leaves are also providing food to the plant via photosynthesis so removing too much can be detrimental if the plant is not healthy enough. I am a big fan of defoliation and do it throughout the grow, but knowing when and which leaves to remove is important too. They look fine as is and in a little while they will bush back out!

          I have a long beard and hair. There's a natural shyness of scissors and razors.
          I'm learning a lot about defoliation. Which leaves are superfluous and can be removed early on. Choosing the more vigorous of bud sites at the bracts and removing the other. When a bud site grows out a couple inches I remove the fan leaf. Real good results, so far.
