    Grow light question.

Howdy. I have two Viparspectra v450 lights illuminating 4 plants in my 4' x 4' tent. They are on the 12/12 flower schedule. The manual says to turn on the bloom switch but keep the veg light on, still, during the flower stage. Do you think it's ill advised if I turn off the veg switch on just one of the lights in order to get more light in the red spectrum illuminating my plants?

Nope- you must keep the veg part on- in many LED's that is what controls the fan-
More important is the total light and you would be reducing it by 67% if you ran just bloom.
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

I'd just be reducing light output by 25%.

Running both Veg and Bloom gives the maximum output from the light, the most of each spectrum. If you turn off Veg you lose that part without gaining anything. The Bloom output is the same with Veg on or off, it doesn't get brighter or give more red without Veg. Leave both on for maximum effect so your plant is given all the light puts out.

Thanks, gents. Heard back from Viparspectra. They advised the same. Thanks, again.
