    Tent Inflation

    Hi folks.

    I sent up my 80x80x160
out take fan at the top with some 4 Inch duct pipe to take the bad air out the window.
Intake fan is at the bottom of the tent. Both are pointing the right direction. (It even has arrows to show me in case I'm a little high i guess lol)

The sides are pushing out as if it is beginning to inflate.
This has only just started to happen after starting the tent up about 12 hours ago.
So what have i done wrong?

From reading it would seem i need to have more air going out than in.
Should i turn both fans around in case the intake is stronger?

should i be worried, should i change it around?

    Help please

You should have slightly negative pressure in the tent to keep odors out of the space it's located in and to get them flowing out the exhaust. The ducting is creating enough back pressure that your inlet fan is moving more air in, than the exhaust fan is moving out. In a small tent you really don't need an intake fan, passive intake works fine. Either ditch the intake fan, or choke the flow on the intake. You can make a choke baffle for the inlet with some foil tape and a piece of cardboard and install it on the downstream side of the intake fan to balance the flow and reduce the pressure in the tent.

Agreed. You either need to slow down your inlet fan or go with a larger outlet fan. Or just go with the passive intake method described above. Either way, the tent should be sucking the walls inward, aka negative air pressure.
