I have a question or 2,,, What are "heavy winds" in your hood?
I often have 80 MPH straight line wind gusts (twisters too, but I would not expect any GH to hold up tp that), we can have up to 110 MPH SLW in a storm. I would luv to have a GH but I am afraid it would just get blown away,,,,

I have had wind gusts up to 50 ,after I set it up and tied it down from the frame I threw a 1/2 inch rope over the top and crisscrossed it , I think 110 would suck the plastic off but the frame would still be there lol
seriously how often do those storms hit , the green house to me is used primarily in spring and fall for the cold temps/frost My self I have raised the sides to let air in and keep temp down ,If there was a huge storm coming I'd take the plastic off for the duration then put it back on its held on with these clips they work good and are easy to get on and off , the top I put on once the frame was up from inside ,I did say the connections on the frame were mechanical (nut and bolt) so no frame pull apart connections except the curved poles to the bottom part of the frame and these I used a self tapping screw , I himmed and haawed for awhile over the same issues storms and such , it really came down to cost for chain link poles It would of cost me 400 for the GH was 300 and I used its poles for the fence

Hope you aren't in the area that got hit hard by the wind. Everything OK with your greenhouse?

Glad it has held up well! Ya, brutal weather, I had an excavator on my current job site yesterday and I was the labor in the ditch.
I've been battling the flu the past 5 days and I sure felt it! Another hot one today.
(at least I have my firewood put up for the winter(g))

We just had a thunderstorm with tornadic winds in our locale. I have never seen the trees bent over like that before. Fortunately I have not gone to all of the work to move my 12X20 greenhouse from one of my rental properties to our home site. It would have most certainly been destroyed even though the plastic is the 12 mil variety. Looks like my laziness paid off this time.

With all of the extreme weather we are experiencing there just might be something to the "myth" of global warming don't ya think? This little girl is far brighter than most of our political leaders. https://www.ted.com/talks/greta_thun...te?language=en

The forecast for tomorrow is 101, and there have been multiple 100+ days this year. On a number of occasions I have had to move my plants into a car port to avoid some of this extreme heat.

The climate changes, that is a fact that has always been, here in OK we had this weather event some years ago, they called it the dust bowl. It is Mother Nature doing her thing, and she will cool it back down some day,,,
OK it's Voodoo, I had to break a Vooboo spell so I can get rain here, sorry for all those that got to much! I have backed off as the spell is now broken (I will be watching the radar)

I've been pleasntly surprized by the gh in the heat I have 4 4650cfms 1 18 inch oscillating 2 20 inch box fans and 3 6 inch fans and it might say 100 on the meter but it doesn't feel anywhere near it, nice and cool the girls have showed no signs of heat stress
