    Hydroguard

    Hi,

So I got myself a bottle of hydroguard because I noticed brown slime/algae in my hydro buckets.

I know hydroguard works well against root rot, pythium etc but does it work against algae?
    Does it break down algae?
Does it fix an existing minor algae problem or strictly after sterilizing the whole system?

    thanks

Algae means light leaks in your buckets. Fix that and then clean out your system. Hydroguard/GFF only works by out competing other pathogens for the same environment.
      WHAT???
      5x5 grow space
      900w of Vero's and F-strips
      4-17gal totes self-made UC system.

Bartholomew I can tell you that I have understood that it will kill the bennies as well as the baddies. I used it to cure a bad case of root root in 2017.

This is the kind of thing I've read about it in various places: https://luv2garden.com/hydroponics_algae.html

Hydroguard is a great product and should be used EVERY time you grow in hydro. I also add Orca Mycorrhizae in my res. Root problems are non existent.
