I have been flushing my plants for over a week now and I don’t see my plants yellow? Not sure why but I always have that problem when flushing in dwc.. from tutorials here is supposed to take only a few days, any ideas or suggestions? My ph has been good and no nutrients only thing I use is ph down and hydroguard should I stop using the hydrogurd? What about ph down is it important to keep the correct ph during the flush??? I find growing in dwc easy but the flush part always gets me..

When you started your flush have you had them in the same water since? Or did you put in the plain water and switch out with new plain water a few days later?
I haven't done dwc so I can't give an opinion based on experience but there may still be nutes in your system, although dilute that have come off the root zone and from within your system itself (inside of tub/res etc) so it might pay to switch the water out again.
Have you tested the EC/ppm/tds of your water currently?Completed auto grows 3

By flush...do you mean remove the nitrogen from the feed?
hydroguard and ph down can be skipped the last week before harvest. I just give them plain tap water... but some strains take longer for the leaves to yellow than others.4x4 600w HID empty for summer

I haven’t changed the water have been busy that’s a good idea though.. also by flush I mean no nutrients and since it’s been cold I will not add hydroguard on this next resevoir change and I’m going to try to find water with a neutral ph so I won’t have to add ph down my tap water is usually around 8.5, I wouldn’t know if some strains take longer this is about my 4 th or 5th grow not sure so I have only grown Northern lights, papaya, and aurora and I always have the same trouble.. I feel I have everything dialed in with DWC except the flushing part.. Now I’m going to start growing with organic soil hope that goes as well as DWC, that way I can skip the flush which kicks my ass all the time even when I started with soil and bottled nutrients although that was a bit easier on me during the flush

The PH of the plain water does sound like the problem. First most cannabis needs low levels of nutrients anyways, some strains that is more severe. Second, Leaves are nutrient sinks when feeding and sources when flushing, check the bottom level of leaves to see if they begin to feel thin. That’s the first symptom of nitrogen deficiency.Grow and good luck

The xylem is responsible for uptaking water and dissolved minerals up and into the leaves. The phylum is responsible for distributing energy (starches and sugars) to the rest of the plant.
I have never read, in any of my research, about dissolved minerals passing through the leaves then into the phylum durring flushing.
Care to provide any evidence about this theory?

Howdy Cali, I flush out the nutrients from the plants using the GH FloraKleen added to my tap water. It makes a great difference in the smoothness of the smoke and in my opinion, reduces the time required to 'cure' the bud. This current grow will be the fourth grow that I have (or will) flush prior to harvest, but I have not had any of the leaves turn yellow from the flushing process. I do not know if the leaves should turn yellow or not. Some of the lower leaves (older and in the shade of the canopy) do turn yellow, but this has happened before the flush cycle, but without a noticeable increase after the flush.
I would not worry much about it, as long as the plants are ready to harvest, flush and enjoy!Smoke weed,.....grow peace!

So I ran a single strain.... used final flush on one plant, used a plain tap water flush on another, and did nothing but remove nitrogen on another plant, and did absolutely nothing on the last plant. The end results were all 3 plants tasted and finished the exact same! The only disappointing plant was the one that was fed nitrogen closecto harvest.
Give this a try yourself... see if you reach the same conclusion.4x4 600w HID empty for summer
