Something acidic in the soil is causing the PH drop. Is your soil “hot”? Or was anything added to the soil like a time released nutrient?

Try flushing with plain ph adjusted water. I’m thinking there might be residual nutrients that are causing the ph to drop in the run off.

You've not said how the plants are doing, are they healthy? If so perhaps you're over thinking. If it aint broke....

You can assume the actual soil PH is slightly lower than the run off water. Soil PH should be 6.3-6.8. Even if there is no plant problem yet.... the low soil PH can cause future issues. Better to be proactive about potential issues than reactive after issues have already occurred.
