After mailining some colas don’t develop well

I will grow a plant out in veg to around 12 to 16 inches tall. Out of the 8 colas that I’m supposed to have, some of the colas just wont grow normal and are stunted compared to the rest, even if I try to tie down the faster colas. It happens on some plants and not others. And it’s variable, one plant might not develop 1 of the colas and it’ll remain short and skinny while another might have 4 colas not develop. Some plants will just be perfect and have all colas develop nicely. This happens every grow. Does anyone have a solution to get all colas to develop normally?

Could be the colas that are short didn't get enough light, maybe shaded by fan leaves. Post some pictures if you can so we can be more helpful.

NVO99 we try and do everything we can to keep the canopy flat but plants grow at different rates close is ok and you will have some stems that grow faster than others in my scrog I have several peaks and valleys they grow as they grow

Find a single plant you like how it grows and smokes and then clone it to fill your entire space with the same cola making plant. Takes time and patience but that’s the true way to achieve consistency, maybe try more plants with less branches each so you don’t have to train so much and let then shoot up, or choose a strain that doesn’t stretch and let’s you train her and carefully train fewer plants. It’s all about genetics
