    Sterilisation vs colonisation

    This popped up recently, a chlorine dioxide based nutrient sterilizer, apparently safe and non toxic, I would prefer colonising the system with beneficials of many types

    What do you guys reckon?

    Grapefruit seed extract does the same thing for hydroponic reservoirs. It's been used for ponds and suchlike to kill algae, etc. I also stick with the bennies unless there's a problem that has to be killed. ;-}
    Anyone can grow schwag. If you want to grow top shelf bud, study hard: https://www.growweedeasy.com

      No bennies = bland tasting hydro buds IMO. I alsways vote for colonization. I am into flavor profile which is more pronounced when I add bennies.

          Yes, exactly. I meant bennies = beneficial bacteria.

          TY for confirmation

          I too am down with the bennies

          after building a perfect habitat for bacteria - should populate it with the right kinds

          Typically sterilize the gear before and after use.
          Occasionally, I get all CDO and really clean the buckets at res change (as opposed to just a good wipe down) depending on sediment levels

          LurkingInTheGrass Your friend must have thought we meant benzedrine, but this forum is totally against getting Cannabis plants hooked on speed. This is a drug-free pot place.
