    CalMag question????

With these nutrient package's why do we still have to supplement with Calming?

    #2
I question that myself. Not planning on using it on next grow (didn't use it on first grow). Just going to use the FF trio and pH adjuster if needed.

There are growers that swear by it and nothing will change their minds. Hey, if you have a grow 'formula' that works why change?

Calmag is best used separate on water days only...

We still use it to compensate the very low amount in the nutrients...some strains will require more or less....they are vitamins like we take one a days

Huh! That's interesting! I have always used it in my feed mix 2.5 ml per gal . But Flora trio was always at half strength.
        Hmmm
You are a provocature Greenie I mean that in a positive way..always urging one out of their comfort zone to open their point of view...or view point. ( I just deleted more blab on that).

I do this because cal mag is so acidic. Combined with tiger bloom it makes PHing madness.

Some growers use RO water and need the extra calcium since it doesn't come in the water like straight out of the tap. Coco growers also need extra calcium.

These are great points.......now I may have to reconsider. We use bottled spring water, some tap water, but mostly RO water, especially into bloom cycle.......so many gallon spring water jugs that I take them to RO machine to refill. There are a few locations in my county where there is a natural spring. You fill up your jugs and just make a donation. I should really check that out.

I just use tap water. No idea what the ppm of it is but it seems alright. We don't get any mineral build up in our kettle so it can't be too bad. For me, I wouldn't bother with RO water unless tap water ppm is crazy high or I wanted complete control over nutrients and ppm.
