This is my first grow. My plants are nice and bushy with thick leaves. However, the leaves are dark green and they are cupping downward somewhat, pointing downward somewhat, have some lower leaves with brown tips and some lower leaves turning yellow. The top third of each plant looks nice and healthy. Nutrient burn? Not sure. I've read a ton but am not sure what to do. Here's the kicker - I have them growing in Fox Farm organic soil and am not adding any nutrients. I did feed them a liquid "tea" from MSU derived from compost (it looks like iced tea). I stopped feeding that about 2 weeks ago out of fear it was somehow hurting my plants. Don't know what to do for these part healthy, part sick looking plants! Any thoughts?

I don't have pics to post yet. Plants are about 2 months old. Haven't switched to bloom yet. I'm not sure about the Ph. Got a meter but seems like it didn't calibrate right. Using a 1200 watt LED.

Mr.furley is right, like he always is, your soil is depleted, and you need to check your ph, very important.
Good Luck and welcome to GWE.

It’s ok to have some of the lower leaves turn yellow, the sun isn’t hitting them as well as the top that’s y we defoliant sum of the leaves to let light and air in. Don’t overwater let the plant dry out good before watering each time.Ph is the one thing y can’t overlook if u don’t trust your meter try sum ph test strips for fish tanks sold at Walmart cheep, and compare and adjust ph meter accordingly. 😉 sum use those strips only ! But what ever works for ya 😎Last edited by Potted; 12-21-2018, 09:47 AM.
