Insane grows you got going on there and great pics too! 🐸 As a fellow Kind grower, I can say I'm definitely hooked...such a supportive medium for all phases of my auto (maybe a wee bit of burn when small). And the ease of just watering and training is right up my alley! So good to see your fabulous results...thanks and enjoy all that fine medication!! 🙌

Kind of crazy guys. I have already set up my own vermicomposting about a month ago. Made mine out of storage bins and have it stackable too. Yes, Bob, it has come to this! I have a year long plan to start recycling soil and see what happens. I LOVE the idea of organic and want to use it in a vegetable garden this next year. Very cool that we are arriving at the same destination from different paths. Makes me feel like I am on to something.

Cool Thumbless...you'll love those rich castings! 💚 I started with one large storage bin and handful of worms (in my bedroom cause it was January 😊)...before long two bin, then up to 5 during summer....so many worms that many ended up in the garden and compost pile so I could get back to 2 active bins! I'm definitely routing for your vermiculture success!! 🙌

you two are so great....i am feeling so encouraged now!! also, would it be ok if we checked in w/one another periodically re. our respective results....like you both, i am VERY interested in this for the VERY long term....i have the space to grow all manner of things (outdoors) but i've never had too much success w/stuff grown outdoors because the soil is very clay dominant. before learning about supersoil and vermicomposting i always just figured that was just so unfortunate bc i was simply at the mercy of my soil...but now...well i have learned that i'm not, really......and that was a very unexpected, very pleasant surprise that came about totally bc i started looking into how to GWE...such a happy-making development for me.

anyhoo, i am all about organic and the idea of raising more and more of what i consume myself, well, that just appeals to me on many many levels.... if y'all don't wanna do the check-in periodically thing, that's cool too.

thanks again for the knowledge and encouragement.

    Weekly Update: 01/24/2017

I hope all affected by the storms in the South on Sunday came through with little worries. We lost power for about 24 hours but got the generator going a few hours after we lost it. Nothing to get your paranoia up like a flower room in full bloom with no filtration. The ladies survived well and back on schedule. Had a pine tree come through my storage shed but luckily nothing was damaged inside. Scary stuff.

I will start this weeks update with shots of the flower room.

As you can see they are looking very healthy and are bulking up some. To me, the down shot shows some missed opportunities that some better training and defoliation would have fixed. Next grow!

    Super Lemon Haze

    Day in flower: 54

I think this plant hit the Kind Soil a couple of weeks ago and is just now getting back to a final growth spurt. I say that because all of a sudden most of the pistils turned brown and the growth kind of slowed. These subtle things are really difficult to detect some times and I am no expert but that is my opinion. She is sticky with this most pleasant citrus smell. I am going to LOVE smoking this plant!

Last week I decided to start checking tricomes and was a bit surprised at the wall of cloudy. After heavy inspection she still has time but has been put on daily watch. We are getting close!

Awesome development going on there Thumbless! You must be getting so pumped up being so near to harvesting so many sticky buds! 😊 Sounds like you're learning some good stuff about improving your grows, even with the beauty of what you have now. Glad you're not too damaged from the storms...scary stuff to have to face!

Thank you rockman. I am starting to get a little anxious but patience is the key. I try to learn from every grow and do something different each time. I hope to eventually figure this shit out.

Happy to comply Thumbless! I've nothing but positive praise for the soil...but I've only grown one auto in it so far...so my praise now is conditional. Still thrilled with the ability to grow a super healthy beauty with just plain water! 😊 Then my thoughts can concentrate on training to get a nice shape. 🌿🌸

      Weekly Update: 01/31/17

This weeks update is one of waiting. It is at this time that it is easy to get impatient and want to harvest your fat buds. I may be full of shit, but I have learned to look at many things on my plants to determine ripeness. I can't tell anything under the LEDs so I pull the plant to a more naturally lit room. I look at it's over color and I look for a change from a pale, light green to a grey/green hue to her due to massive amounts of trichomes becoming cloudy (I presume). I will take a flashlight and look underneath and around bud sites to look for new growth and swelling of calyx. This combined with some good overall scoping of trichs gives me the information I need to determine harvest time.

In the past, as soon as I saw a few amber trichomes I would harvest. Often, I wondered if I should wait because the plant didn't seem ready. After becoming more patient and looking at the overall presence of the plant I have had better meds and yields. I still take into account if I want something more racy and is leaning more towards clear/cloudy trichomes or something with more sedation and get more amber trichomes. I just don't pull the trigger at the first ambers I see. I say all this as it comes into play with the Super Lemon Haze update to follow. *Remember....I am in no way a professional and all of this is just my own delusions so take it for what it is worth.*

Let's get to the flower room. Damn, is it stinky in there! Here is a photo with a straight edge to see the overall height.

Beautiful plant. Just starting to really bulk up and is going to live up to it's name. Has a pleasant smell that I am having the hardest time defining.

This plant is soooo stressed. The yield will suffer but I have to say the stress has made it thick with resin. The smell is very citrus and pleasing.

      Super Lemon Haze

      Day in flower: 61

Here is were my comment above comes into play. At the last update I first scoped the trichomes and noticed a bunch of clouded and a few amber. I knew it was way too soon for this plant to be ready as the last one was taken at 67 days. I employed my "look at the overall plant" method and realized it wasn't ready. As stated in the previous update that I felt the roots had hit the Kind Soil and affected the plant. I am now fairly certain as the plant has recovered and has hit a second growth spurt! I am now seeing more clear trichs, as you will see in the new close up. Very few amber are present. She is very close and she probably won't make it to the next update. I want my Super Lemon Haze to be some kick ass, daytime get shit done, meds so as soon as those clear start heading cloudy I will probably take her. We shall see. What a nice plant with a smell that has turned to a yummy bubblegum scent.

Beautiful Thumbless, and I love your explanation of how you've refined your harvesting decisions! There is much truth to the ability to sense when your babies are ready to give up their offerings. The more I grow the more I develop that sense. With Bubba 2 I definitely felt it was time from several subtle clues, including color and rate of growth/changes. And also true the type of effects wanted plays a big role (clear, cloudy, or amber). You are so deserving of that super lemon haze beauty, and let it kick your ass in the most pleasant way! 🙌
BTW, the first 4 pics didn't come through (first time this has happened on my tablet), so I don't know if it's just me or a forum issue. The SLHaze did show up...so sweetly!! 🌸

          Thanks, rockman.

Interesting, I went to my tablet and the same thing but the are all ok on my pc. There should be 7 pics. I was having issues getting it loaded this morning so maybe that is it. Not sure what to do. I will try to reload them.

I appreciate your feedback that you, too, are learning the jedi way of sensing your girls ripeness. It takes a few grows under your belt to get it. Once you do you are presented with much better meds. Bubba 2 came out so awesome looking it is obvious you have your grows down.

I only see the second Lemon Haze pic I'm afraid but it looks spectacular!
The other pics from this week's update just show as the broken link icon. R clicking and choosing "reload image" doesn't help.

Weekly Update for 01/31/17 part II

Wanted to give a quick update on the pollinated bud. It is day 24 since it use pollinated. In my limited experience, when the seeds are ready they will start popping out of the calyx. I cut one out to see the progress of its ripening. Obviously it is not ready, but are getting close. I believe that if I were to cut the plant now and left the seeds on the bud to ripen they would work.

Got all pics now Thumbless, and they just look so full and happy! Really nice growing going on there!! Buds are awesome, and are you ever going to get rewarded! 😊 And take a bow for your gorgeous grow room! 🙌 Interesting too to see the pollinated bud...not too many of those pics on forum. 😊
Thanks again for compliment on Bubba2....she's been slowly drying, and now has reached 63 humidity in jars. Curing now is going to make her just so sweet tasting...the sweetness comes through on Bubba 1 each time I vape! Love it! 💚
