HELP! My seedling suddenly lost its leaves and now the stem remains but is getting dry.

I had a feminised auto flower from Amsterdam. I germinated the seed and then put it in a big pot.

It grew but started to fall on one side because of the wind, so I tied it to a stick with a wire. Suddenly 1 day I saw it and the leaves had broken off and fallen in the pot, I thought it would regrow but now its been a week and now this stem seems to be getting dry.

what can i do to save this plant ?? Plz HELP

I am afraid it is dead, was it reaching for light? Give some details on your setup (like how much light and the source, soil, etc.), maybe when the wind blew it over it broke. If I get one that gets to tall to fast, I push soil up around it, it will grow new roots on the covered area (and increase the lighting to stop the stretch).
New seedlings are fragile, I think you will be starting over with this one, give those details for the GWE community to help you with for the next one.

ok so if you zoom into the images you can see the plant....can you confirm it is dead ? is there anything i can do ?? (only seed i had)

so light was 10 hrs, indian midday sun, i watered it once a day. it grew tall pretty fast but then 1 day the leaves just came off...they were loose in the pot....the stem has grown dry since then.... is there anything i can do ??

What are your temperatures like? (it's frigid here right now)

For young seedlings, I use a "collar" in the soil cut from part of a plastic water bottle; it gives the stem some support/protection while not being constricting.

It was normal soil, got it with the pot from a nursery.

Sorry to say but your out of options its gone. You need to get new seeds and start over.

Before I planted another I would try to find what happened here! Did she get to cold? Nute burn? Lack of or to much water? Sun burn?
Give up as many details as you can!

Nobody gonna mention the bucket-o- mud? Get some good potting soil and add more perlite to it. Sprout and grow seedling inside under a couple of cfls for a few weeks.

PRIMO agreed, you need to start with the basics that soil will not do. Get your plant started then move outside, and READ!

As a avid gardener it appears to have had root stress due to soil conditions causing the plant to go into shock that it could not recover from. Light fluffy soil allows air circulation for strong root growth without this the root stresses and dies due to compaction of soil around young roots. I use a 50% sifted garden soil and 50% potting soil. After germination I start and grow in same soil, never watering wet only moist on the high side.Let the plants tell you their hungry. Most plant fatalities are due to overwatering causing root stress!! Plant it like a tomato plant and watch it grow!! Good Luck, another seed is around the corner.

You for sure need to add some perlite or something similar to any soil you use. I use a whole lot of perlite in my soil. Probably 20 to 40% perlite. It will help. Also at that size you just want to water in a circle around the plant. You dont want the whole pot wet until your plant has a nice set of roots, and a decent set of leaves. That's why most pot babies in solo cups and smaller pots. So they do not overwater them.
