    HELP! Growing questions

Can I use a lizard light to grow and if not what are some cheap alternatives also can I bake my soil to make sure nothing else is growing in it

    #2
Those reptile lights are not useful for growing. Cheap leds or CMH will work. Don’t bake your soil. If you want to grow in soil you need bacteria and fungi. If you want to feed hydro nutrients then use coco or other soilless medium

Got ya. Yea, I used Mars hydro before. Affordable and made good tasty flowers. Not too big on yields though.

UV lamps are great supplemental lighting for the last 2-3 weeks of flower. Really brings out the crystals. But UV also stunts growth. So play with UV in short increments. Like on 15 min then off 2 hours during lights on.
But no, you don’t want those UV lamps to be the main source of light.
