Smaller colas in the center and big ones around the outside?

Hey gwe. Question. I have an auto that believe it or not is 96 days old, way way behind others in her group that have been harvested quite some time now. I noticed today when I was watering and I probably should have noticed long ago that she has big fat colas around the outside and as you go towards the center the buds are smaller considerably. What has caused this. My thinking is it's the amount of light the center has gotten. But I have so many plants up there I hadn't thought to put her directly under one of the lights. Do they all need to be directly under a light? I thought there was like a footprint and that the light was good several feet out from beneath the center of the light. Does this question make sense?

Makes sense. I have 2 autos the same age, one is similar to what you are asking. To me, it looks almost like two plants growing side by side, so some of the inner colas are smaller cuz they aren't inner, they are on the outside of one plant just happens to be growing beside.
hehehe - now if that makes any sense, let me know.

It’s not uncommon for the center buds to be dwarfed due to too much light for plants directly under the light- think hot spot. ( red area in charts).
While this doesn’t seem to be the case, they may not have received enough light being too far awar from the light and not getting any reflective light.
Overlap distance is individual , but I usually space the lights to obtain maximum gain and sometimes it’s just enough space between lights for air circulation to cool the lights.
      I grow with LED’s.
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

me too. I grow with LEDs. I grow using 450-watt viparspectra. I have 7 of them covering an area about 4 1/2 ft Buy 8ft. And many plants of various ages on the table beneath them.
