I'm planning to flower the remaining plants from my mystery crop after the first of the year. Given my tent's heat issues, I was thinking of setting my grow light up on some sort of support frame under my desk--I can't mount it to the underside--so they'd still have decent airflow. Heat from the light would ideally be vented so it goes back into the room (I used something similar to direct cold air from my AC unit into the tent over the summer...but this was cold air using a duct made of Coroplast, obviously I'd need something far more heat-resistant). Is this a viable method at all or should I go with the tent and assorted problems (mainly too-high humidity although this time of year that may correct itself)?
My desk is black laminate over particle board, the one thing I'm wary of is heat produced by the light on that type of surface. If needed I can use my tent's drip tray as a reflector. It would be on 12/12 with the light turning on at the time I usually get up anyway.
