    Brown spots!

    Hi, me again!

I checked my plants when I got home, and one of them has these brown spots on one of the leaves.

They were transplanted to the solo cups 5 days ago, they are in rapid rooters and generic potting mix. They sit about 5 feet from 630 cmh lights.

I have not been running the exhaust fan because it’s pretty cold in my basement.

I looked into into the troubleshooting section and it looks like ph fluctuation. I have not done any ph testing, but when I watered them yesterday I added a tiny bit of General Organics Bio Weed to the water.

Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

Could be PH. But how’s the drainage on those cups? More perlite might be necessary for better drainage as well.
4x4 600w HID empty for summer
3x3 400w HID with Bruce Banner and Skywalker Kush
2x2 65w Quantum Board LED with 4 mother strains
running all simultaneously for a perpetual harvests.

Thanks for the reply. I have holes in the bottom of the cups, but the one plant with the brown spots seems heavier. I'll take it easy on the watering. When I transplant I will be putting it in peat moss, worm castings, and a compost mix that contains peat moss, calcitic limestone, kelp meal, shrimp meal and crab meal. Do I need to add perlite to that mix?

Yes. Perlite has many benifits. Including keeping the soil from clumping up and soffucating the roots. If the solo cup isn’t dry in a day, or 2 max...then it’s a drainage issue. It needs to be solved right away if that’s the case.
