Rapid Rooter - Solo cup - 5 gallon fabric pot when to transplant

Hi all, this is my first post about my first grow. I have 2 plants that i started in rapid rooters from seed. When I saw roots coming out of the bottom, I moved them to solo cups and into my 5x5 tent with a 630 w cmh light. Everything seems to be going well. Now i have 4 full leaves per plant with more on the way. My question is, when should I plan to move them to their final homes, 5 gallon fabric pots? Thanks!

    Welcome vanderwalt,
Sound like it's time, it would be best to add some pictures to be sure..

Thanks for the reply. Here’s the most confounding question: how do I post pictures?

If you have roots poking out of the cubes, they are ready for transplant. However, from the cubes, I like to go into red solo cups with holes in the bottom for drainage. When the roots poke out of the cup holes, I transplant into 1 gallons, then when they get wide and tall (roughly 2-4 weeks later), that’s when I put them into their final 5 gallon homes. These finish at approx 3ft tall.
Not saying this technique is for everyone, it’s just what I find works best for my set up.

What a nice welcome to the forum! Just for a bit more info about my grow: I’ve got autos for my first time. I tried to germinate 5 seeds, but only 2 popped. I am germinating 3 more now.

I don't grow autos but my understanding is the best practice is not to transplant but instead place the seed in it's final pot.

This is my first grow, I'm planning my seeds in Rapid rooters. I'm going to soak the seeds for 12 hours and soak the rapid rooters for 12 hours I'm going to put them in the holes and put them in a homemade humidity Dome that I can made. I know to keep water in the bottom of the tray I'm just wondering as soon as I see the seed pop up can I take it and Transplant it into a Solo Cup right then and put it under light or do I leave it in the dark for a little bit longer to grow because the seeds are germinating in complete darkness. I do have each rapid-rooter placed in its own small container the size of a ice cube tray so I can remove peach seed as it pops do I just wait till the seed shows itself and move directly over to Solo cups? Under low light? And do I need to keep the Solo cups in a tray with water in it also
