    HELP! Old leaves burn from the tip inwards

    Hello everyone! I have a few different strains (all autoflower) but the same problem with all.. the oldest leaves start burning at the tip and it keeps creeping inwards the leaves. They don't fall off and most of the plants stay very small. I thought it could be salt in the soil, but the runoff water is fine. Maybe not enough water at a time, because they were very happy when I gave them lots more. But they never dropped like they do when they are thirsty. I think i have read every artikel i can find but I just can't figure it out..

    greets and thanks in advance

    I don't know - do you give them any nutrients?

      Stop the nutes to eliminate that possibility of a nute burn. Then check if your soil is dry,could be getting drowned instead of dry and also rootbound plants will stay small and have all sorts of issues due to mold,no root oxygenation etc...

      Cut the nutes - wait a day.
      Check to see if your soil is wet/dry all the way through and see if it drains correctly,your pot should be dry every 3 or 4 days at least the top inch of soil.
      You have perlite in there? what percentage of soil/perlite?

        It looks like 25% of perlite ( it's pre mixed), hydrograins at the bottom. I was watering very careful and I guess to little (max 200ml for "biggest" plants) so then I stopped feeding and gave them ph'd water 2 times. And a lot more , They seemed happy after that.

            Looks to me like they ain't getting enough water, like burned.
            Are you watering to runoff every time you water,,? Radja

              I guess if we ask enough questions we'll eventually get enough information to help Radja - or Radja could just tell us all his information about his grow, and then we can help.

                Almost 5 weeks. 11liter pots with big holes in the bottom and at the corners. And indeed no runoff every time I water because I was afraid of overwatering.

                    1m2 = 3.28x3.28
                    26 Celsius = 78.8 Fahrenheit
                    80cm = 32 inch

                  You definitely need to water to run off. Most people like to runoff to 20%. You overwater by watering to frequently. Water until runoff. Water slowly so the soil has time to absorb the water. Then wait till the top soil is dry to your knuckle.

                  seedlings are different but those are not seedlings.

                  Hmm salt build up? But i can say i saw nute burn like most picture u have on my church plants 2 years ago..Does it move upwards or staying on the older lower leaves? If it were nute burn it would show in more part than just the older leaves but they are also positioned closer to the roots as seen in your picture so therefore get the first damage of it...

                  If your root oxygen is prime,your soil not muddy and you let your topsoil 1inch to dry off before watering again then i have no idea what it can be besides nute burn..cut the dose to 1/4 and see from there?

                  Also dont go changing the environment more than twice a week trying to find a cure for this because you might shock them...Try something and wait a day to see what happens..

                    I checked the runoff water and it's ph 6. Water going in also ph 6-6.5. It does go upwards but mostly only the fan leaves. Soil is never muddy and always dry at the top before I water again. I'm very afraid of overwatering so I water a little (to little I know now) at a time. I will cut the nuts and see what happens. Thank you very much! But if this is nutrient burn it's a big one right? Because all the pictures I've seen weren't this bad

                    Dont be afraid to water till run-off, thats what you got to do, and you want to let your soil dry out too, but not bone dry, roots need to be around moisture.

                    Well if you were underwatering at the recommended dose and the plant was thirsty it had no choice but to drink that boiling hot water and it burnt itself to survive thirst...Your RH% can also help with this,if it is a bit high the plants will drink less from the soil and vice versa...If it isn't nute burn it might be some root infection since it's going upwards,hopefully not tho..

                    Always water till run-off and start low on nute dosing,then up as needed by the plants until you hit a nute burn (which you check for daily)..

                    Also if this is not on new growth (nor new growth later on that will be old growth) it most likely stopped and you are just witnessing the outbreak and your new growth will be amazing..Time is our friend,right?

                  I will now. Thank you. I did the last 2 times so I could check the runoff water and they seemed very happy after

                    Good deal, now don't water-feed again until your pot is light weight, let your soil get good an dry before you water again.
                    And you should be fine, and good luck,
