    Purple stems

So could any one tell me if they think this is genetics or not? I'm assuming it is because the other stems are still green. Just would like another opinion. You can also see the unknown preflower in the first pic. Thanks for any input.

I have had purple stems before myself, unfortnately it wasn't genetics for my girls it was a phosphorus deficiency. What I would do if it were me, I would research the strain you are growing and see if purple stems are a common occurance for your plant. Besides guessing, that is the best advice I can give you. I know a bit but I'm still learning new shit every day. God luck with your grow and have a great night and Happy Growing.

those are actually petioles and its pretty common to get a purple hue as the leaves mature, if it starts to turn more reddish and expands to the under leaf then its a sign of deficiency. just like having a purple stem (main branches) or purple stripes, its a sign of severe underfeeding or water/nutrients intake has stopped

I think that the purple stems are due to the light. During the last harvest I found that the purple color on the stems only occurred on the 'sunny' side of the stems and where the shadow from a large leaf covered the stem, the stem was green in the shadow. The stems closest to the lamps (in my case CFLs) tend to have a deeper purple color than the lower stems.
Just my $0.02 worth, I do not feel that it is a problem to worry about.

The H2O2 will kill (in sufficient quantity) will kill most of the algae and microbes. To do damage to the roots, the H2O2 would have to be in an extreme concentration. The H2O2 in the store is only a 3% concentration. Pure H2O2 is dangerous and would harm the roots (and Whom ever was pouring it in!).
