I just acquired these lights and according to the manufacturer whom I did contact, these provide "advanced" optimal light from seed to flower. Nervous about using them to flower my Phantom OG but will begin that whole setup soon and post in a journal. My question, has anyone ever had good results using 4 foot t8 growlights and did they have decent results as in quality and yield? This will be my first try with these type of lights. Let's call it an experiment.

    my setup...
3ft x 5ft x 6ft grow box ventilated with an atmosphere VTX600 with reversable vortex carbon filter controlled with a variac controller plus subject lighting and 5.5 gallon fabric pots x 2. All together less than 500 dollars invested in new equipment.

Should mention this will be the only light source and I will be germinating from seeds.

Great informative reads. After looking at my quantum pad meter I will probably just use these for my veg cycle. Thank you for the post. I will use my expensive as heck spotlight for my flowering. Was nervous about it b

Sorry just saw I messed up my last post. Thank you for the input though. Will put it to real time use. First grow in over 20 years. Just got my card for Oklahoma!!! Soooo excited. First grow is gonna be 2 but plan on taking clones and growing from there and learning as I go. Like the Phantom OG I tried before so went with it.

Nice one Jim, and welcome.. I wish you all the best on your grow, yes Dans articles are famous, and very accurate, all of us usually nowadays when entering the new world of indoor gardening only have the manufacturers claims to go by, and I certainly knew nothing about light metrics etc, now I am just beginning to understand more, and that help has come from Dan and a couple of others... certainly what you will do with that light now , is what I was trying to point to, without saying it in so many ways lol. Keep us informed on your progress plz... GL great topic.

Will do. I will start my build soon and tag you on it. Looks like I'm gonna be over my 500 dollar goal though. My spotlight was 900 by itself. Was nervous it would be too much for my build but surprisingly my meter says its within range if I mount it on the roof of my build. As long as my canopy doesnt reach more than 4.5ish feet. May have to try some LST a little more insanely if that's the case. Just dont know how this Phantom OG will stretch out yet....I will tag you on my Journal in a couple weeks when I get my "Green Card" in the mail. Ready to do this but have to adhere to the perameters of local law because of my location. Lol fingers crossed.

Do u understand this jargon. I know this light is super intense. Trying to approximate a good height for it but dont speak this jargon...

Should I elevate my ceiling of my tent and go 36 inches? My par meter is broken and backordered for 3 weeks. I dont have that long. Getting my veg room ready it is a 3x4 tent.

Sallisawjim, Brother I wish i could help, but I don't know much about your lights, though,
I use cfls on my plants first week or so , I put them 10-12inches away for seedlings, then about a week later I put them 2-3inches away, then I use my other lights.
What kind of light is in this picture, ?
How big are your plants ?
Wish it was legal in my state,

Never heard of that light, I've heard of Phantom OG, mj strain though.
Where do they sell them ?
If it's that powerful 10inches ain't high enough, imo

Its some kind of cob, led isn't it ?
Doubledealing72 or either Blazed227has got one on here, can't remember which one though,
If it's a cob it needs to be at least 24-25inches away, maybe a little higher.
Maybe they will chime in, an be able to help you though, or either RosettaStoned probably can help you too, he knows how to make those lights.
