    Ph meter question

I used distilled water to calibrate my meter but is it really necessary to rinse it with distilled water too?

What pH meter do you have?

I have a Bluelab pH pen and it says not to use distilled water

I have the same brand, mine is yellow with a black cap. I dont rinse mine, I just blot dry with a paper towel and shove the cap back on. It's stayed in calibration for 6 months now. I've had it for about a year. No complaints for $20.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. I check the ph daily (don't know if that's needed) and its a whole lot easier to use tap water.

I use electrode cleaning fluid to rinse mine, and I've also used the storage fluid when I've run out of cleaning solution. Both seem to work great though I haven't tried tap
