That's extortionate, a medical rec is about $45-50 here in LA.

I just told the doctor I was married he approved my card without delay! (painful). I have now paid the state the $300.00 fee for YEARS.

Still going thru major growth pains here in OR. Card renewal for patient is 200, 200 per patient you grow for, 180 for doctors visit, cards are good one year only, testing fee is 350 if selling to dispensaries. This is America folks, the only way it's going to be approved by states is if it doesn't cost the state anything and there's profit to be made, it is the sad reality of our capitalist economy. On the positive side I don't think everyone would be raving about cbd the way they are(at least around here, had a few people ask me to grow cbd strains asap) unless it had been brought up and advertised on the market via the legalization process. For those of us who can't grow, being able to buy products guaranteed nasty pesticides free is priceless. We've all had our share of miracle grow skunk and the headaches that come along. I can also now buy a specific strain for a specific use whether dealing with my insomnia or arthritis. Before you just got what you got and you didn't throw a feat. And the countless people not being jailed anymore, to me the state taking a cut is a small price to pay.

Here in jersey we have a real ahole as Gov. We were hoping Trump would take him to Washington with him but even he's smart enough not to do that. So we're stuck with him for two more years. Can't wait to dump him such a putts

The tired rhetoric is getting old. I think that America is finally starting to realize that the 'war on drugs' is not helping anyone. I feel your frustration-my local congressman seems to be in sync with Christie.

I pay the same as Royal Nugs and I think it is a great deal. They tax my income, my interest, my purchases, my property, my gasoline and as far as taxes go, my hemp tax is the most reasonable.

what I have learned so far:
                  environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

I'm willing to pay taxes, but I agree with dontknownuttin: charging folks $300 to get their medicine is cruel and unusual punishment

BUT $300.00 FOR A CARD?. For $300.00 it should come with a brass pole with dancers AND A OPEN BAR. This card should cost no more then $10.00 TOPPS!. even WHEN YOU GET YOUR CARD THE PRODUCT AT THE STATE APROVED "NON PROFIT" DISPENCERYS SUCK, The Cannabis they give us to choose from is SECOND SHELF AT BEST AND OVER PRICED. I think there is a reason Prop 205 did not pass in Arizona I think the reason had something to do with MONEY.

I tell ya, if there is any way you could grow your own, you'd be in hog heaven. There is NOTHING like the quality of bud you grow yourself, harvest yourself at the correct time, dry and cure yourself, and then... well, you know the rest. I was really scared when I got my grow box: it took me a year to screw up my courage to begin to grow (last July), but it's such fun, so rewarding, and I can't recommend stealth growing enough!! Wish it didn't have to be stealth...

We can not by law grow our own at this time. Law here is no growing within 25 miles (as the crow fly's) distance from a operating dispensary. Problem is EVERY dispensary in this state is24.2 miles away from anyone's property so as a result we are forced to hand over our money for inferior meds. I am sure there are many sick folks that grow anyway.(but they risk jail.) I visit a dispensary and there is always a line A LONG LINE around the building with both healthy and sick folks waiting to hand over hundreds of dollars to a dispensary owner who is on a cruise vacation somewhere spending others hard earned money (the American way?). MMMMMMM I wonder why Prop 205 failed .

I am totally growing illegally where I live!!!!!!!!! So I'm living like an outlaw on the down low, and I am being as careful about it as I can be. I never want to be part of any capitalist venture that exploits cannabis. I bought myself a growbox with a huge filter on it (so I didn't have to worry about aroma); it came with a dryer that also has a huge filter, so it's all stealth. I wish I could hang my buds the way nebula does, but I need no odor. I put blackout blinds on my grow room, and a lock on the door if anyone's working in my house.

Now go tell your wife that you love her. If it wasn't for her, you might not have been approved.

Grand Rapids police conducted raids on every dispensary operating in the area. Leafly investigates why the raids occurred.

They have run almost every dispensary out of business in the county and the next one! In fact I think it was every one of them! No more dispensary for miles!

I wonder if Cannabis legalization will lead to a reduction in law enforcements budget and personnel numbers? I guess the remaining police will have to solve REAL CRIME and start earning the pay they receive. CHANGE IS ALLMOST HERE. 36% of all incarcerations are non violent criminals. Free labor will be lost for our prisons as less and less are locked up.

No more free labor, costs of production go up, freaking cannabis causing havoc again and driving up the inflation, way to go stoners!!!

Yeah, damn, what they gonna do when no more cannabis offenses!! This is probably one of the reasons they keep cannabis as a class A drug--to ensure that the prison industrial complex keeps runnung smoothly...
