DWC- GC 5.85 pH DGTH 5.95 pH both 1205 EC. Looking better
took water out so the bottles do not bang on the roots. One of the problems so far.

"OH"- Transplant into 1 gallon fabric pots. Will have to transplant sooner but want the drying out of the smaller pot. 1 gallon solution 1 tsp calmag, 3/4 tsp bio root, 1 1/2 tsp trinity, 1 tsp buddha grow. In pH 4.49 GC 5.98 out DGTH 6.09 out. 24 oz in 6 oz out on both. Maybe a fluke, maybe it worked but the pH is down. Roots are looking great as well. So far so good.

I have only been using them for a short while and have not finished a grow so I'm curious about how the roots grow though them , I don't see a problem but still its something to worry about lol

    Been busy...
they all seem to be ok. GC DWC seems to be a little slow still. Same with DGTH "OH" also a touch yellow overall. The pH drop was a fluke as suspected. Isn't really bothering the GC though. Started kelp tea foliar on the four organic. Dutch master saturater and liquid light with rhizotonic and A&B for the DWC.
how does everyone who uses a foliar brew their's? I still haven't tried to brew a compost or EWC brew/tea. I just soak kelp or alfalfa meal in water and use.

I've done the same soakingin water. I'm going to get a compost brewer running though. But I went ahead and got some soluble kelp from dte. The compost brewer will save time when making teas breaking it down faster and keep the tea from going anaerobic. I use a homemade surfactant with soap and oil. They look great btw.

DWC- 8/31 bucket change, 4 ml silica, 15 ml calmag, 15 ml cannazym, 15 ml rhizotonic, 10 ml A&B Vega, 3 gallons water. 1260 EC 6.0 pH been able to keep the water temp on an average of about 68-69. Roots have finally started to explode, they definitely do not like the frozen bottles banging around. Checked today and added 1 ml pH down.

Soil- 8/30 no water, have been getting daily foliar with a light kelp spray, 8/31 32 oz molasses water

"OH"- have been struggling to get this pH down, if anything it's going up. GC still looks great, DGTH slowly moving along and still a few shades lighter than the rest. Consistently 12 oz in about 5 oz out for each, every day. Recipe is the same as 8/28 but making half. Addition is mammoth p at .25 ml a half gallon. Going to bump it up next batch I make.

Off with their heads tomorrow night, going to shoot for leaving four nodes on all. Might wait to get them all there or just take what I get.
      Thanks for stopping by ✌🤘

Soil- 9/2 32 oz plain water, outer edge to half way in. Foliar kelp spray and stuck in ring for training. Rotated pots, raised the light 2"
9/3 topped with 1 Tbsp bat guano (high N), 1 Tbsp neem cake, 2 Tbsp fish meal, worked into top 2".

DWC- 9/2 removed 32 oz, replaced with RO to dilute DGTH. Had a few clawing tips.
9/3 foliar spray, Dutch master saturater and liquid light with canna nutes/additives. Added some RO water (for now) to bring the water level up. 3 drops of pH down, down to 5.9. DGTH has that minor deficiency.
Been keeping the pH between 5.9 and 6.3 on both and still keeping up with the "cooling system" 😄

      Raised light 2" 👇☝️

"OH"- 9/2 Transplanted into 5 gallon pots. There were roots on most sides and coming out the bottom of the medium on both. DGTH was a little more fragile but they powered through it without issue. Looks like a shade or two more green as well. GC still not batting an eye. Mixed nutes 2 tsp trinity, 1 tsp B grow, calmag, bio root, 1 ml mammoth p. Watered with 64 oz each, both about 7 oz run off. 4.24 pH in GC 6.16 out DGTH 6.1 out.
9/3 made half the solution, 1/2 tsp trinity. Each got 32 oz to see were I stand on runoff. 16 oz each but pH in was 4.15 in and 6.69 GC out DGTH 6.6 out. I was expecting it to be right back up there. So the question is do I continue to have that much run off or use less solution to get less run off? Topped with 1 Tbsp kelp meal and my fertilizer mix, worked into top 2" to soak for tomorrow's watering. Both are looking good, DGTH has slight yellow tips on a few leaves.

9/2 all got topped at the fourth node

RosettaStoned certainly Campesino is more knowledgeable then I am in regards to these subjects. I have only learned from him and input my understanding. I have gone over various sources including those he provided me. I agree ec is a great tool but with an organic grow it can only be used as a general guide. Sorry for jacking your thread 😉 😆 ✌.

Everything is looking good, other than the two DGTH leaves which could be damaged roots, pH swings, or nute burn from the foliar. They seem to be moving right along now. Daily fulvic acid sprays with weekly waterings added in. It says you can so I asked them, but you can use it in DWC as well. So I put in 1/4 tsp in each res to see how it goes. Normal dilution is 1/4 tsp per gallon.

the cooling device is working better than expected now that I switched out the bucket for a cooler. Between 64-66 degrees with ice pack changes every 8-12 hours.

the pH seems to be staying below 7 in the "organic hydro" mix. I have been still watering with 4.5ish pH solution but gradually trying to bring it up. DGTH has given up being sad with the mix and is taking off. Still using 32 but gradually getting less run off.

Both soil are getting top dressed weekly with high N guano, langbeinite, and rock phosphate. Alfalfa teas and kelp and compost brews. "OH" is getting guano, neem cake, and azomite. Anything else gets watered in with the solution.

I haven't really looked over this until recently. I wasnt interested in using monsantocare nutes so I just put it aside. Now I plan on make my own plan from this. I will still use the beneficial feedings just change the botanicare nutes with roots organic bottles and dry, or something similar like earth juice. I'll have to compare npk from both if I want to match his or just use the roots organics feeding program and add in the extras per his schedule. I know this will take time but I'd like to at least try it out.
it's a lot and probably more than my ability can handle but hey, what else do I have to

      Hello all,
all have been training pretty hard and most into their final positions for the flip. The GCs have stayed fairly short in comparison to the DGTH. Some how the OH are still doing good despite the extremely high pH (7.3 yikes), I guess just roll with it and don't sweat the details right now. Maybe there is just enough compost/EWC/soil to have active microbial life to break down the bottled nutrients and amendments and self adjust pH.

Soil has been getting weekly toppings of bat guano, kelp meal, bone meal. Also weekly compost teas or oregonismXL (thanks Chefbjy ), and weekly fulvic acid foliar. Waterings are up to 48 oz but I think I'm going to need more soon.
"OH" I have been watering 32 oz a day, at one time, but switching to 20-24 oz twice a day. Run off is down to 2oz on DGTH and 10 on GC. I have a base of buddha grow, calmag, and trinity. I switch adding in between earth juice catalyst/ R.O. surge and GO bio root/R.O. HP2, daily. I also top dress these with smaller amounts of the same as the soil. Been using neem cake too for gnats, which I swear I saw one, but since the topping and the medium drying out quicker....none.
DWC have really been bulking up all the branches. I broke off a smaller growth tip on top during training of other branches, no big deal. Roots are growing rapidly and the cooling device is still going strong. Water level and EC are dropping daily now but still just topping off with plain water. Adjusted the A&B mix to a little more B because of the extra P and K. Air pumps are at full power and have been for a while.
all have been getting small amounts of defoliation to get rid of non exposed leaves and smaller inside growth tips. Hopefully to promote more upper growth. Still have a few lower nodes to axe but might grab clones from those since I have actually kept my bonsai mothers looking good.

Beauties! I love that Oregonismxl. I made a solution with it and that's the last thing they've had since my big growth spurt. I'll be using it on all my organic grows 😉.

We're getting close but I want another week 😆

DWC- these are looking great! Been on the same nute solution (changed every 6 days) with an additional 2 ml of Vega B for the P and K. Also have been adding fulvic acid powder and 2/3 strength. Went to a different "gardening" store and grab some orca liquid mykos for extra protection and benefits.
OH- decided on a base of buddha grow, trinity, calmag. Then these get switched every other day; earth juice catalyst and surge or bio root and HP2. Occasionally add in some molasses or fulvic acid. One last topping of langbeinite, fish meal, azos and mykos before the flip. They seem to growing fine, other than some very minor tip burn on the DGTH.
SOIL- also got final topping of langbeinite, fish meal, azos and mykos. Usually watered with fulvic acid or various teas (compost, EWC, kelp, alfalfa, or oregonismXL)

all get a fulvic acid spray or oregonismXL spray. Temp range from 71 to 82, RH usually 63% to 75% but jumps up when I foliar, 82%. All have been under my remodeled morsen leds, actual watts 395, keeping them around 24 inches. They got a small defol to expose the newer growth and took 2 clones of each from node #1. Topped all and lst for all as well, although not much training to do at this point.

They are ready to flip today if need be but would take another week for some extra growth. I need to get the four girls out of the flower room to make room for these but don't think that's happening....so will probably just hang the lights in the middle of the room and have a completely full flower room with no room to work for a few weeks.

see ya in a few days for the flip 😉

opinions wanted- Flower under the cobs (600 watts)? Or the samsung led build (400 watts)? I have no problem switching things around. Will probably move the four that are almost done under the morsens to free up the big lights. Neither of the big lights have been running at full power. Burned the leaves pretty bad on the 2 ISS when at full power, 18" away.

Probably should use the lights I am familiar with but still mulling it over. Forgot to mention I am going to transplant the OH to 7 gallon fabrics. I have the pots, I have the medium, and I think the DGTH will appreciate it. GC OH grew a top back after I topped it. Might be why its slower than the rest?

oldjarhead100 for me it's the ratios and benefits of the amendments crossed with the feed schedule I recieved. The OH is obviously a work in progress and will much more refining.

Chefbjy have you read the maximum yield organic hydroponics article https://www.maximumyield.com/the-how...oponics/2/1299 it made me feel a little better about my OH mix.

Very intriguing. You're on the right track. Can't wait to see how those girls finish out in your OH mix 😉.

A little rearranging to access the now 7 gallon OH. Too hard to lift with out handles when soaked. Cleaned all my lens on my lights, cleaned fan blades/diffusers, adjusted lights one last time, minor defoliation on those that needed it, washed out and sanitized water reservoirs, cleaned the floor. Also....quite smoking for almost a week now.
Girls look happy and healthy, even the OH which I thought was going to be a nightmare....but good enough for a first try. More than ready to flip. One last topping of amendments tomorrow and starting compost/EWC tea, alfalfa and kelp meal tea. Working on an auto feeder for OH with stuff laying around, will get it dialed in before the 28th.

Modified feed schedule done after some deliberation with some grow friends. What do ya'll think?
I realize it's not 100% organic because of the bottles but they are derived from real ingredients, so close enough. Better than salts

Thanks OJH. It will need to be adjusted here and there but it's a start. The guy my friends got the original from had been doing it for 20 years, supposedly. So however long it took him to get it right, I do not know.
