How do you trim your buds?

I would really enjoy detailed processes. Do you trim dispensry style, how deep do you dig for green no sugar leaf, granted fan leaves go, do you shape, how much leaf stuff do you leave and why? How valuableable do you find sugar leaves and do you remove them from their base/ stem.

I trim flush with the bud I don't dig in the bud for the least little leaf. Remember, I vape, therefor it don't matter if there are a few leaves.

I cut even with bud and dig in on the fatter sugar leaves...

I've only done it once, but just trimmed them flush with bud. Looked just as nice as the "professional" ones we bought.

Tika, I sure do wish you had a helper. I don't know how you do all those buds. My fingers would be cramped and frozen up.

Tika, I just pluck the sugar leaves from the buds when they are about halfway dried. I never really knew why the sugar leaves are removed, if the curing process allows the conversion process to continue, then why not leave the sugar leaves on and give the sugars in the leaf time to convert to resins also?
I think that, on my next harvest, I am going to leave the sugar leaves on the buds and see if they is ant difference. If anyone has a reason why the leaves should not be left, speak no or for ever hold your piece! WAIT a minuet, wrong speech!! LOL (just the 'tea' talking)

I have heard the smoke is much smoother with less leaves and apparently Cali dispensaries want real tight trim. At the same time I wonder why I would want to trim out all the resins that deep on the bud. It's a constant argument with my self as I trim.
And then I love the dark purple sugar leaves and think they would be nice left for decorative purposes.

I find the sugar leaves to be kind of harsh on the throat. I guess is the chlorophyll in the leaves. However when you vape, it won't make a difference. The temp I vape at won't get hot enough to burn the leaves.

I have a helper and she does it naked, not that I think any will be pilfered- it's just more fun- (now you know why I like small/frequent harvests,LOL)-ANYWAYS,
The sugar/shake leaves are cut close to the bud-(used for glycerin tincture/edibles)- large buds are separated for drying- but no other digging for stems etc.

It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!
