    Hello there..i have a quick question .using fabric pots ,I cut 5 holes at the bottom of the pots.Does anyone know if it's nessary,

    Not need them at all. Water will flow trough the fabric

      Not at all... Fabric pots promote root pruning making it difficult for the plant to become root bound. No roots should come out of the sides or bottoms unless they aren't exposed to oxygen. That's why a lot of growers use something under the pot to provide more oxygen to roots.

        Ok guys thanks ..I was cutting 5 holes in frabrac.it makes sense not to.O well,maybe I can water less ofton.think I would no this by now.sometimes I think of foolish questions......ty again.

          Oh.i do put a rubber sink pad under my pots.

            You should use something to keep pots above rubber sink pad so they don't sit in run off water. There are stands made specifically for this that are cheap. I found mine at local hydro store for around $2.

              Purav. I'm using this type of sink pads.....about 3/8 high slots on one side balls on bottom side.....works nice.
