marpolo ,I'm pretty sure that you are gonna hear, to buy those high priced LED, lights, but the ones that BigSmo, makes on the Autoflower.net, website, work great, and grow some fine looking MJ.
Some folks on GWE, use them too, with excellent results. Plus they don't break the bank, and if something does happen, which is unlikely, BigSmo, will solve the problem quickly.
Cfls for a week or two
    315lec for everything else
Dug up Ms.topsoil, with perlite added
    36x36x63 inch tent.
6inch - exaust - intake fans an scrubber
    Smart pots
    Molasses

This is a fairly comprehensive article on COB lights. http://uponics.com/cob-led-grow-lights/ However I would check failure rates in the reviews on Amazon.

Yeah, check all the reviews on autoflower.net, literally hundreds of them. Every now and then you might see some not so good reviews, but you will have to look hard an long to find any bad reviews, about BigSmos, cobs, that he makes.

This is one thread from what daas is talking about. I also grow with cobs and would highly recommend them for anyone who wants to grow. You can ask me anything about them and I'll do my best to answer!

I have 4 in a 3*3*6 tent, one over each plant. My average yield has been 8oz per grow, and I only grow autos in coco. Largest yielder so far was 5oz 10g, with one right behind it at 5oz. I'm currently on my 4th grow.
