Does the LED make the whole bud formation and ripening process speed up in proportion to each other or does it just ripen earlier and the buds could have possibly bulked up a little more if it didn't ripen quicker with the LED?

I wish I had a clue. I know for fact that my buds are dank, perhaps smaller but more buds are dank.
You might want to view Mark for Platinum LED video & "witness" that. maybe not so much growing time but better quality. I would rather my buds go longer with fewer so my friends in need don't need so much in volume.
Really great question...hope peeps pipe in on this. As I said this is my 2nd grow with LED

Karlee I deal with 2 buildings..what I notice is when I finally hit the sack..after a full bath..I reek of weed and grin.
I don't like but use the carbon scrubber which is excellent! I rather wif my plants

Those are some yummy looking buds Tika...nice job. Have to agree that I like to smell them so that's what the house smells like whenever a grow is on. I don't know what you have planed for your leaf trim and sugar leaf but I just tried the dry ice hash tutorial and its exactly as promised! Awesome way to utilize those extra trichomes. I ground up about 2 quart jars full of dry leaf trim, sugar leaf and popcorn buds... Got the bags and dry ice and the whole process took about an hour (includes prep and cleanup). Got a lot more of the primo grade hash than I expected. A little more than a cup full. Then another cup from the next size screen. I didn't do a third screen. Its a mix of OG Kush and Skunk #1.They seem to compliment each other. Keeping the leftovers for infused coconut oil. Try it...its worth the effort!
The resin is like flour when it comes through the screen_ just like in the video.Then as it warms back up to room temp it gets more dense and sticky (easier to deal with).
