        Eekum bokum! Heh heh.

Thanks, man. I ordered from Midweek Song, whom I really like, but they are currently taking forever to correct a credit card processor issue. I like the wooden blocks they come in.

                Thanks!

Not more than I already have, no. I feel that defoliating completely would hamstring the bud growth. Light is most efficiently used by the leaves, after all. The more I have to use those photons, as long as it doesn't trap humidity and stale air nor block light from lower buds, I prefer to keep leaves not in the way.

Thank you very much. The main point if creating an account here was introduce members to COB technology, which, while initially expensive, will achieve what people look for when replacing HIDs with LEDs and usually finding disappointment. It will definitely keep your electric bill low and your yields high, to the point the initial investment is justified by a single grow.

COB isn't very well-known. I only started seeing an uptick of its use on RIU in late Spring of last year. I replaced two 450w ViparSpectras with a single 89w COB fixture (78w of light, plus fan and driver) to see incredible results I could replicate only with their use. Needless to say, I was convinced and bought two more (1x of the first one, then another of the updated model using 85w of light, 92w altogether, and using a newer emitter from Bridgelux Vero instead of Cree) for a 4x2 closet. Hopefully you are all convinced as well, and maybe we'll see an article from NebulaHaze on it. I think it deserves some investigation and legitimization.

Which fixture are you using now with COB LEDs? I've heard people throwing the term COB around the last year or two, but honestly I don't know exactly how they're different from regular LEDs, and how much more efficient they are. Definitely time for me to do some research!

                    NebulaHaze I am using 2x TastyLED T1-2100s (Cree CXB3590, 3500k, 80 CRI, top bin, 36v, driven at 2150mA) and 1x Tasty T1-V196 (7th Generation Bridgelux Vero29C, 3500k, 90 CRI driven at 1670mA.)

The thing about COBs are, unlike panels, they were invented to replace HPS in highbay/lowbay factory and industrial settings. They can be up to 80% efficient or even more. There are plenty of anecdotes where people drive their COBs super soft and push 2GPW. 1.2-1.5 GPW is pretty average with COBs,

I really think you will be impressed.

Only buy fixtures that use Cree CXB3590s, Seventh Gen Vero29s such as the C or SE or later, current gen Citizens, and your drivers must be Meanwell. Citizens are the cheapest and Japanese-made, but they are effective. GrowMau5 had videos on Youtube to teach you to DIY, which is mostly easy and the much cheaper route to go.

Premiere high end indoor gardening LED grow lights for hobbyists & professionals looking to remove HPS & lower electricity costs by 60% while increasing yields.

Roleandro will not yield these results. Stick with the brands of emitters and drivers listed, plus Luminus. With the use of a PAR meter, my closet gets about 1000-1100 PPFD, which is about the same as a 600w HPS, for only 241w of COB.

Your plants look great...buds are coming along nicely...

I know how you feel about defoliation so I won't push the subject to bad.....on your next grow...I really suggest cutting tons more fan leaves off throughout your whole grow...that light may have good potential but I don't think you are letting it do what it does best....shine brightly through whole plant...hitting every bud site....making more sites and tighter and bigger buds...from what I see on theses plants if you would have defoliated more those buds would of been ginormous....whole stem colas..fatties...okay maybe I pushed to far...sorry....but those Damn girls look awesome...I just see what could of been and can happen on next one..

Again...budz look top notch..tasty and sexy exotic...great show..

                  p.s......I'm a defoliator...big time.....

You're good, bro. I probably will at some point. This next run, I am taking pollen for a breeding project. Very special, this next one.

So first question: I'm looking into the Bridgelux Vero 29s. I am seeing that the higher rated CRIs have lower lm/W. At what point is CRI good enough and higher overall lumenosity better. Compare 80 to 90 CRI and 137 to 114 lm/W respectively. Might not be a correct answer, my guess is to lean toward the 80. Thanks.
