In terms of measuring storing.
You will lose some butter in the process. Maybe 10-15%
I think it is easiest to condense the butter in a single container and then weigh out portions on a scale.
It will stay in the fridge for as long as any other butter, but should be frozen for longer term storage.

Rydin, 1 oz of dried cannabis before decarbing, weighing to a quarter stick of butter is best for future baking, I store my butter in the freezer until I use it.

I had about 6 ounces of trim and popcorn buds from a recent harvest which dried to about 3 ounces after decarbing in the oven. When people say an ounce to a pound if butter, do they mean the weight before or after baking?

I planned on weighing out the butter into 4oz blocks to be equal to one stick of regular butter for use in a recipe. Is that the easiest/best way to measure?

Also, if you don't use your butter right away, how do you store it and how long is it good for?
