I started germinating these seeds on January 1st and put into soil on the 3rd. I am doing LST and have trained them numerous times along with quite a lot of defoliation. They look healthy and respond very well to training. They are getting Botanicare grow nutrients and are under Mars Hydro LED lights in nectar of the Gods number 4 soil. Do these look okay for that amount of time or should they have started to flower by now?

Are they autos? male or female? Have you tried switching your light schedule to 12 hrs. on / 12 hrs. off ? Are you sure they're pot plants?

They're auto fems i got from seedsman in original Mephisto packaging so should be good. They've been running on 18/6 and only getting bloom nutes. I was waiting for them to start flowering to push the bloom nutes while keeping 18/6. I can switch to 12/12 and go with bloom nutes now..just surprised me that they haven't switched on their own.

I started my Ripley OG Auto's from Seedsman on Jan 1 and they are in coco/perlite with Emerald Harvest Nutes...running 20/4 the entire grow cycle
They are in their last week and will be harvested later this week. I checked my Grow log and I noted flowers coming out around Feb. 10. (Picture attached)
Your plants look great, just surprised they haven't started to flower.
On the other hand...the Female Seeds AutoSpeed Bud from Seedsman never flowered...it was supposed to be an auto, then I gave it 2 weeks of 12/12 but it just kept vegging...until I gave her the axe

Hello, rydin'. It seems that Mephisto or whoever is distributing their seeds have a batch of seeds that are either mislabeled or suffer from bad genetics. I also have a couple of these running on my current grow-they were labeled as autos and they are DEFINITELY photos.
WHAT???
5x5 grow space
900w of Vero's and F-strips
4-17gal totes self-made UC system.

Morning rydin, my RedPoison went over 70days and never did flower, that's why she is out in the woods now.
Yours have gone way to long already , might as well put them on 12-12. Looks like You got photo seeds, instead of autos. There has been alot of that lately, especially with Mephisto seeds just like gbauto said.

Thanks PRIMO Insight and gbauto .
the good new is (if these are just photos) that they've been growing since Jan 1 so they should put on good weight if they start to flower. I'll switch light cycles to 12/12 today. How long untIL they start flowering under that cycle? Also, about how long until they're done..as I've never grown photos before.

Will there be any negative effects at this point? I'm hoping they're just going to grow a lot of weight at this point since they vegged for so long. What's the average time to let photos grow from planting until switching to 12/12?

I germinated my photoperiod strains Jan 1 like you so I currently have some plants the same age. I changed the light cycle to 12/12 the last week in February and they just now have golf ball sized hairy buds starting to form.
It looks like your plants are tying to bud so switching the lights to 12/12 will make them flourish with new buds. Your nutes look fine and the plants are nice and big. Good progress so far!
6 weeks after changing your light cycle and you will be in harvest range. Plants like yours (big, over vegged, already flowering) that are photoperiod can have lots of 'momentum' and will finish fast. You will have buds in less than 8 weeks at this point.

Thanks KingKush
I have other photo seed's as well. How long is a normal veg period..say from placing a germinated seed with a small tap root in the ground?
Would that be like 8-10 weeks from planting on 18/6 and then another 8-12 on 12/12 as D.A.A.S.69 said to harvest so about 4-5 months total for a typical photo grow?

Starting and rooting is the same for either photperiods or autoflowers. That takes about 2 weeks to ensure your seedlings have a decent root mass.
Veg time depends on the situation but usually falls into 2-6 weeks. This is one of the benefits to growing photos as you can control this stage almost indefinitely. It depends on how many plants and how big you want them.
I like rooting for 2 weeks, vegging for 4 weeks.
-Flipping the lights at 6 weeks is a fairly common timeframe
Flowering is strain dependent but can be as quick as 40-50 days or take double that. I prefer strains that are done by 8 weeks or 55-60 days.
So 2wk Root + 4wk Veg + 8wk flower = 14wks
= 98 days from start to finish or just under 3.5months
"Ideal"
4wk root, 4wk veg, 8 wk flower = 16weeks
Or 4 months
"Average"
This is all a soil growers timeframe. Other methods could be faster.
One example is my "current grow" that you can click on in my signature it gives you a detailed journey of some photoperiod seeds.
D.A.A.S.69 But this grow is taking a while it might be 4.5- 5 months.

KingKush, right ,I was just trying to get him in the ballpark, its really hard to be exact, they all grow so different. Some are fast, and some are really slow, lol, but it's still fun.
